Question about preview pain in windows mail

Just within the last 3 weeks I cannot find the attachment at the right side of the preview pane in windows mail , I believe that it has something to do with some update that was made by Microsoft. The only way to get to it is from the original message line which is a real pain.

Reply line by line in different color from sender’s text

In Windows Live Mail, is it possible to set it up so that when replying to a message, everything I type will be in red?

This enables a clear line-by-line response to the original sender who's text will still be in black.

(When I compose a message, I would still like it to go out black)

An I even on the correct forum?

I can't find one for Windows Live mail and the "Help" resources were no help.

How do you synchronise Outlook Express with Live

I am able to receive emails but unable to reply - error 4104 recurring.  Have checked on line but not too savvy when it comes to technical stuff.

Tried to add account but not sure which server to use POP3 or IMAP (IMPA on account name)

What do I put down for ingoing & outgoing servers?

is it the Daermon app or a line item in a stratup script and ist an outlook script or a MS Office script

blank entry on blocked sender list

I have a blank line in the top of my blocked sender list.  Every time I try to remove the blank entry I get a message that Hotmail is not available. I can successfully remove any other entry in my blocked senders list.

 

I think this blank entry is responsible for an error I get whenever hotmail syncs with outlook.

Quote Character in Email Replies

I'm not a fan of indenting the quoted text when replying to an email.  Is there a way to use the ">" to denote quoted lines?  So the reply looks like this:

> text line 1 from original email
> text line 2 from original email

I thought this quoting style was standard.  It was in Entourage.  I'm getting old.  :-(

What I want to do is every time I open WLM in Windows 7 2011, I would like it to default to my "IN BOX". I had WLM set up that way at one point, I put it on line on how to do it and someone sent me the steps to follow, unfortunately WLM does not do that any longer it has reverted back to opening up on whichever folder it was on when I log out of WLM. I also have misplaced or thrown out the instruction on how to perform the task in question.

So if someone could send me those instructions again I would greatly appreciate it.
