I have recieved an email allegedly from WindowsLive and Hotmail Security Team.

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Saying that I need to click on a link to verify my email. Is this a scam of security threat to me or is it genuine??

Many thanks

It appears, I sent too many emails.  So naturally you told me I was over the limit, but you forgot to tell me the limit.  and the link also did not give any indication of what tt is, or what ia going on. Thank you for making a draft of my email, very thoughtful, but do I get to know who got and who didn't get my email?
And etc.?
I received an email saying I had exceeded my limit of emails but I have only sent, maybe, half a dozen and received not many more than about twenty, so is it a scam to get my details or has someone hacked in and using my account to send spam?

I cannot open hyperlinks in my Outlook 2011 emails. My only solution is to copy and past the link into a web browser and then delete the "blocked" portion of the http. Any solutions?

"or else" my account will be deleted? and when I click on the link it asks me to login to my email provider? I smell scam. some one confirm if this is legit.

here is the text of the email:

"Dear [*** Email address is removed for privacy ***]:

Mail is holding the message you sent because your email address is not verified.

Please click on the link below. This will take you to a verification page. verification is a one-time process which takes only a few seconds.

Please be aware that if you do not complete verification within 4 days, Mail will automatically deactivated this Email [*** Email address is removed for privacy ***].

Oddly enough the first sentence "Mail is holding the message you sent because your email address is not verified" was the tip off since I have not sent anything on Hotmail in some time.

Is it possible to link a message to a contact, or group of contacts in Outlook 2011. I know it was possible in previous versions, or in Entourage. But I can't seem to figure it out in this version...

Thanks,

Mark Sass
windows live hotmail team wants verification of my hotmail acct or lose acct permanently after 24 hours.  click or paste link & answer questions. is this true?
hi i got 3 emails saying from windowslive-hotmail-uk 22/6/12 saying that my contact details seem to be tampered with and windows is unable to verify my details and require me to follow a link to confirm them. I didnt follow the link and just transfered the messages to junk but was unable to report this a phising scam. is this something that has been reported widely today?
