Are there any methods that will allow a Mac Outlook 2011 user to forward or assign an Outlook Task to another Outlook user, with recipient on either Mac or Windows version of Outlook (ideally either, as we have a mixed-platform office)?  Even if not feasible from within Outlook 2011 Mac, using a third-party utility or app would be fine, including on iOS -- any suggestions would be appreciated.

If this isn't currently possible, this is probably #1 on my wish list for Outlook Mac upgrade feature request.

Here's the same screenshot again, this time with six of the UI elements numbered:

  1. Ribbon tabs
  2. Button labels
  3. Folder names
  4. Sub-folder names
  5. Message list
  6. Message header bar

Which of these elements do you have difficulty reading? How could their legibility be improved?

Hi ¡Firedog,

I appreciate all your efforts to grab the matter. The problem might not appear at your computer, as you might have changed settings/configurations.

For me in WLM (also have little comparasion with MS Outlook 2010),

1. Ribbon tabs: Ok.

2. Button labels: Ok.

3. Folder names: Very faint. Size very small. (Additionally: MS Outlook 2010 has yellow boxes, but the results are similar. It does not hurt in MS Outlook 2010)

4. Sub-folder names: Very faint. Size very small.

5. Message list: I am using reading  pane right of the message list. New messages appear bold ok. Unread messages are very faint. Size is Ok. If I use, reading pane at bottom of the message list, then don't have faint fonts problem. (Additionally: In MS Outlook 2010 the first line shows contact name in pure black colour, the second line is gray. Font sizes are same as WLM. The combination of Black and gray looks fine for MS Outlook. In WLM both lines appear gray, that's the problem.)

6. Message header bar: Ok. Message itself displays fine. However, microsoft community Logo looking very faint in a post from microsoft community. Font colours and sizes are fine.

Additional: The message which I am writing in this windows also appears gray to me, except bold letters. It might be related to internet colour settings (I am not sure, I am just a user, not a computer expert), which I don't know how to change. I think WLM might also depend on internet explorer for font settings. I am just a student, and don't know the details. I have set 130% of original size to view it in internet explorer, but, in case of WLM, I cannot find an option to increase the size to 130%. Nevertheless, the letters typed in MS Word 2010 look pure black to me, which is fine.

(From Microsoft word, I am able to find that this colour stands between gray-80% and Black, Text 1, Lighter 25%. The same sentence when copied from MS Word and pasted here has significant difference of colour clarity, however, after posting the comment, the clarity vanishes, and both texts appear similar.)

Hi folks

I am currently running MS Office on a MacBook Air.   My question relates specifically to Outlook.   I am using Outlook for Mac 2011 (Version 14.2.4 (120824)).

I make extensive use of folders to organise my email but in recent months they have become somewhat unpredictable.

I have two issues that I'd appreciate some guidance with:

1.  The main problem is that I can't rename newly created folders.   It creates the folder without a problem and calls it 'Untitled Folder'.   If I do either a slow double-click or right-click and select 'Rename Folder' it will very briefly look like I can edit it (blue background) but before I can press a single key the background reverts to grey and I can't change it.  On the odd occasion I can get a single letter typed but that's it.   So, I've now got a series of folders that either start with 'Untitled Folder' and then a number, or which have just a single letter as a name, 'B' for example.   This is getting to be really frustrating.   Any ideas?  Solutions?

2.  My second issue, is on a related topic.   If I try and drag an email from my inbox and deposit it to one of the folders it won't actually move it.  If the destination folder is positioned at the top of bottom of the list of folders then it work fine but if it's somewhere in the middle of the list, it just won't work.  The 'Move' button at the top of the screen works fine but this isn't the most efficient option.   Any thoughts?

Many thanks

Stuart
Have input sender's name, a word or two from the subject, and have also put in block sender's list. Unfortunely, their email addresses change daily. If I go to Web site of every address , which is half a page, the only choice is to unsubscribe which I  won't do.  Some of the subjects have an icon in front of the text and at end of subject, but not all..  How many filters can be put into the sweep function????  The problem has nothing to do with the browsers I use..

I'll gladly send a list of all blocked so far concening this Email plus the headers but can't get those in view source because I only get my address and lots of lines of jibberish...

Please read above carefully

I created Contact Groups in my Contacts. I can access the groups in my email, but I can't see them to display or update in my contact list. What do I need to do to see them?

I posted several questions and got some answers in the old Windows Live forum, but they aren't on my list here.
