Hi guys, I've been accessing my various hotmail accounts via outlook express and window live mail for the last ten plus years and every now and again I've received the below error. Its usually been quickly resolved by the rather annoying solution of being forced to delete the account and then re-add it again.

In the past week though this problem seems to have got far worse and I've had to do it three times on two accounts and its just done it again. Is there an issue with the syncing at the moment and is there a better way to resolve this or to avoid it all together than constantly having to delete and re-add my accounts?

Allistair

ERROR MESSAGE
Unable to send or receive messages for the ??? account.

Server Error: 5102
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002

I had the online/offline problem with the repeated error messages and tried the repair and then the Live Essentials 2012 upgrade.

Those steps took care of the off and online messages, but my Live Mail is still not connecting to any of my accounts or my other users accounts.

I can get access to the mail through the webmail pages of the two different ISPs with which we have accounts and have full internet access on IE10, but the Live Mail just keeps timing out on each of our mail accounts.

What is happening here?

The only things I have not tried are deleting and recreating accounts and the complete uninstall/reinstall because I and my other users have important emails going back years that we do not want to see disappear.

Can I fix this without the complete uninstall and reinstall or deleting and recreating accounts?

I have now spent two long nights trying to fix this mess.  It's almost enough to make us go back to Apples.

Hello, I received a pop up box in Live Mail 2011 when trying to log in ...saying user name or password is incorrect.  I've had no problems up until this point.  After several attempts to log in without success, I rebooted the computer several times.  This didn't work either.  I called my internet provider and re-set the password... they also helped me reset the password on my Live Mail 2011 settings for that email account.  Again I tried rebooting and trying several times to log in...still not working.  After 5 hours of working with them and getting transferred to their tier 2 techs.. they concluded that it was a Windows Live Mail software issue.  They gave me the phone # to Microsoft.  Microsoft phone support said they couldn't help me and they said to do the online support.  Online support want to sign me up for a service contract  or they advised me to seek advice from this community online...so here I am.  Hopefully someone knows how to help!  Thanks in advance ....

Original title: Windows 7 Live Mail 2011
Hi

I know there are many notes on this but I am trying to find a simple way to take my live mail from one PC with win 7 to another before I work on the hard drive. Both have win live mail, one is 64bit win 7 the other 32 win 7.

I have 5 email addresses that it checks and would like to get all the email from those addresses over and mimic on the other PC what I have been using. I have looked and looked and tried and tried to get this done, including Easy transfer (conflict with 64 and 32 bit op sys.

Sometimes I manage to get one of the folders over but that's all. Can it really be this hard between two Microsoft products?

Please help with some step by step instructions that work before the whole lot goes in the bin :-)

Thanks

When I start Live Mail, it goes off to sign in to my RoadRunner account.  It stops at the authorize screen and asks for my email and password. I re-enter those and it doesn't work again. Back to the pop-up authorize screen. Even if I go into Properties and Security and re-enter email and password, nothing happens.  I CAN access my RoadRunner email account using their webmail service.

This issue with Live Mail has been happening for quite some time now, but only today have I not been able to log in at all.
I'm having the following problems.

1) With Live Mail open and with Inbox highlighted, an incoming email is announced by sound and by the bracketed (1) opposite Inbox folder name. However, its details (From Subject Date etc) do not automatically appear in the Inbox contents. To achieve this I have to click on a different folder and then return to Inbox.

2) An associated problem is that on deleting an email from the contents list of any folder, the email itself gets deleted but its From Subject Date etc remain in the list. As above I have to access a different folder and then return before the list is updated.

I've had to re-install everything from scratch after a recent hardware problem. The previous installation of Live Mail didn't have this problem. I've tried removing and re-installing Windows Essentials subsequently but the problems persists. Any suggestions?

Have Windows 8.  Had to use Mozilla Thunderbird because my internet, Cox service, was not compatible. Then downloaded Windows Essentials, & now want to use Windows Live Mail again. Thunderbird has email addresses LDIF contacts code, while Live Mail uses cvs contacts code. Now I want to download my LDIF contacts to Live Mail.  Is there a way to download my LDIF contacts to Live Mail & keep them in the separate Folders instead of downloading all email addresses into All Contacts & then having to put each one into separate Folders again.
