If I don't upgrade live messenger as I don't want skype or facebook, will I still be able to use 'Windows live mail'
On trying to sign into messenger I get message: Can not sign you into Windows Live Messenger . Your contact list is not available right now. Try again later. For the last 24 hours I have been unable to access my contact list. I am using Hotmail for my
emails.

I am in Spain and my Live Messenger comes up in Spanish, however I want the info in English. What do I do? I have tried the recommended changes to English but none of them stop the MSN news info being in Spanish.

I already use Skype and do not need to merge my accounts or contacts.
I have a paid for email address plus a Hotmail account all under Windows Live Mail.
As far as I can determine I no longer require Live Messenger ... how can I delete this programme from my Windows 7 64bit pc?
What happened to the news, entertainment highlights and etc,, on my live messenger page when my computer starts up? I upgraded to Skype but didn't like it so I re-installed Live messenger. Now all of the highlights of the day have disappeared and been replaced with only social info. There used to be several options for new, social, celebs, sports etc... they are now gone.
Any idea how this can be fixed?
