Hi there,
I have an Outlook.com account which I've tried to use Thunderbird, Outlook 2011 and Mac Mail to send e-mails. I use IMAP configuration to receive all e-mails and folders fine. However I could not send a single e-mail through any of this e-mail clients (through the webmail I can send e-mails normally).
I've been using the Microsoft official guidance in order to setup STMP account (smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587, TLS connection, password and etc) but every time I receive a message which says "the SMTP server connection time out".
Important to say that I can receive and send e-mails through Gmail account settings on any of those e-mails clients but Outlook is still not sending.
Anyone could help me please?
Thanks.
Diogo
To Whom it may concern,
I am trying to successfully connect my Mac Mail (MacOSX10.8.5) to Outlook.com's IMAP server. I get folders successfully downloaded including Ads, Deleted, Junk and Sent, but never my Inbox. The server settings are correct (that's why I can get those folders), but it seems that my Inbox may be too big to connect to?
I've researched various threads (below) without luck.
Can you assist?
Connection Doctor shows a successful connection, but the Activity Window consistently gets stuck "Fetching new mail" at the Opening mailbox... message.
Thanks in advance for your help.
