I have a user who is having an outlook mailbox password issue.

He has two machines at work ,he is running windows 7 with office 2010 and a mac-book with Mountain lion and office 2011.

His password expired so i when into AD and reset his password . Neither machine would accept his new credentials for Outlook, for his windows machine I followed this guide :

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/fix-for-outlook-2007-constantly-asking-for-password-on-vista/

i renamed his %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Protect and his windows machine is no longer asking him for his password .

I'm not familiar with mac enough to pinpoint how to trouble shoot this same issue .

Does mac-have a similar workaround as in this guide? If not does anyone know where i can start ?

Hi all,

I've got a problem at the moment with two Mac Office 2011 users - one a delegate of the other.

The delegate creates a meeting request in their calendar, inviting the other user. They then go into the other user's calendar and accept the invite.

In their version of the other user's calendar, the invite accepts and looks fine. If they open the appointment, it says words to the effect 'You accepted this invite at..."

On the other user's mac in their calendar, the invite shows up initially with a dotted line outline and time shown as tentative. Once accepted, the time changes to busy, but the dotted outline remains and the whole invite is greyed out. To this user, it looks like the invite hasn't been accepted, even though their delegate has done so.

This means we've got some conflicting information going on which seems impossible since their both looking at the same calender? Delegate has the appointment accepted, saying as such, but the main user only ever sees it as tentative. Which obviously causes some confusion if they're not sure if they're supposed to be in a meeting or not...

If this user then accepts the meeting themselves, it accepts properly, goes solid colour, the dotted line becomes solid also, and they see the invite as accepted. But obviously the point of delegate access is to do away with the need to manage your own calendar.

Oddly, considering the users involved, this calendar isn't shared to an iPhone or accessed elsewhere, so there's no syncing issue there getting in the way.

So why isn't this working as expected?

-- The delegate is set up for full access in the delegates options on the main user's Outlook.
-- The delegate has Full Access and Send As Access configured on Exchange.
-- They have no problem adding, deleting or altering calendar appointments aside from this. There are no errors thrown at any point.

We've tried:

-- Various combinations of delegate access and exchange access to see if one set is conflicting with the other. No change.

-- Database/Identity rebuild for the main user. No change.-- Setting option in OWA to stop invites automatically appearing as tentative. No change.

-- Allowing plenty of time for syncing in case the delegate is causing a problem by accepting too fast.

-- Lots of making sure we're in the correct calendars etc.

I guess this is fairly easily worked around, but annoying it doesn't work as they would like it to. Would just like to get to the bottom of it now!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas, comments or solutions.

I have a subscription to Office 365 Premium Home and me and my wife both have outlook.com email accounts.  I have shared a calendar with her and she is able to see on the outlook.com web based outlook, however, the shared calendar is not showing on our laptop version of Mac Office 2011.  I am able to see everything on my Windows 8 Outlook 2013 no problem.  So seems like either I haven't configurly correctly for her Mac office or maybe this feature is not available (defeating the purpose of office 365 IMHO).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have recently upgraded my iMac to the new Maverick system, whilst having Mac Office 2011 installed. Now i get a problem with outlook dropping the connection to my mail server (BT) and then reloading EVERY email still on the server. This happens 2 or three times a day and is becoming a pain. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what has to be done to fix it please?

Hi Team,

Please find the brief explanation of my issue.

1. I have copied PST files from Sony Vaio to Mac Book Air.

2. I have imported these PST files to Mac Office 2011.

3. These PST files has so many groups with contacts.

4. I have been modifying some contacts from that group for my convenience. And clicked save in the local PST itself.

5. Now, I have accidentally deleted groups which I was imported before a month. I cannot find the updated contacts and that particular group too. I searched in Trash & deleted items also. Nothing works. Is it possible to recover from any location?

Because I have modified more than 1000 contacts and now I lost it fully. Please do help me the steps to resolve the same.

Thanks & regards,

Ramachandran .K

Hi,

we have Exchange 2010 and some iMACs with Outlook 2011. We have the problem that if you move or copy a mail from MAC Outlook to the public folder the sent or received date (depends if you take the mail from sent or inbox) change to today.
That is a big problem, because you can't see anymore when this mail was sent or received.
If you make the same in windows, outlook, the date doesn't change, only from MAC Outlook.
We already installed all possible updates for MAC Office but the problem is still the same.
Does anyone know if there is something we can do to avoid this change of date?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Andy

About a month ago we upgraded one of our Macs to 10.8 (from 10.6). The upgrade went fine, but now Outlook Mac 2011 does not work correctly. The only known issue we are having is the Search function not working correctly. Whether it is searching for a Name, Subject, Date… nothing shows up – only “no results”

I’ve searched forums, how-to sites, Microsoft and Apples websites looking for answers and have not found a solution. I’ve installed any updates that are related to Mac Office 2011. None of which have resolved the issue.

So far I’ve tried Rebuilding the Outlook Profile (multiple times), Re-indexing the folders/volumes in Spotlight (multiple times as well). I made sure Mail Messages is checked in Spotlight. After re-indexing is complete, the Mac drags a lot. It drags when you try to do anything within Outlook. Whether it is clicking on a new email, printing, clicking on a subfolder, anything. It’s painful for the user to even use Outlook. So they use their mobile phone at times to read email and/or Outlook Web App (OWA).

Has anyone found a solution? (Besides reimaging/rebuilding the Mac)

Thanks in advance for any help/comments.

Sync date Issues with OUTLOOK on IMAC
I have recently purchased MAC Office for my IMAC.  It appears to work fine apart from the Sync.  All my mail is dated with a time when I force a Sync and not time when sent to me.  I also have a MAC Pro and that deals with my Mail correctly.  Any thoughts on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.
On Exchange Server 2007 using MAC Office 2011 and keep getting this error message.  Don't see much help for the Error Code -19942 in searching.
