I just got my hotmail account to sync with my Mac Outlook account but the 19,0000 emails that were in the Hotmail acct keep coming back into my Mac Outlook acct and I am having difficulty with sending e-mails and receiving emails. It will say an "error has occurred in Outook"

Hello,

I am using Outlook 2011.  There is a distribution list in active directory window server which i am the owner of the group (IS-US).  There are 5 members in it.

With Outlook PC, I can just go to calendar, open calendar from address book, and view those 5 members' calendar.

However in Mac Outlook, permission is denied when openning it up from "Open Calendar"

Can anyone help fixing this issue?

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Dipo

I just switched from Windows Outlook to Mac Outlook and am almost ready to go back to using Windows Outlook with Parallels.  One thing I'm really missing is having a big notification/alert dialog box with my reminder show up on the screen 15 minutes before a task.  This is what Windows Outlook did.  Right now, it seems my only option is to have the list of Office Reminders open all the time and then constantly check it to see if some reminder just came up.  Under System Preferences, it seems the only option for notification alerts is for e-mail, not tasks.   Am I missing something?

BTW, I have "Turn On Office Reminders" On.

Thanks, Susan
I archive email from my work Exchange to folders that are under the 'On My Computer' section of Mac Outlook, but I cannot find where to locate these actual folders on my hard-drive so I can then back them up
I have users in my work environment who created emails with a .PDF attachment in webmail. They sent the email to coworkers and the end users with Mac OS Outlook 2011 are unable to open the PDF files. Windows 7 users with Outlook 2010 are able to open the PDF files just fine. I have both a Windows 7 laptop and a MacBook Pro with 10.7.5 OS all fully updated and get the same issue. This almost appears to be an encoding/decoding error. Just to throw another piece into the puzzle if the user or myself forward the email back to ourselves we are able to open the PDF just fine....

The exact error we get is as follows:

"Acrobat could not open "******.PDF" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as in email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

I have a user based in the UK that has problems with Outlook calendar.  When creating a meeting, it defaults to Pacific Time.  This should be (UTC) Greenwich.  I have checked in Preferences > Calendar > Default time zone for new events, and this is set to Pacific Time.  However, when I attempt to change this, it never propagates and changes right back.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, this is doing my head in.

FYI - Mac's clock sync is set to Apple Europe, and the Time Zone is London.  I also have at least 5 other users with identical setups who have no problems with this.

Thanks
J
In the connected to part in the bottom right corner of mac outlook, it shows the name of another user rather than exchange or domain name, has anyone come across this before?

Thanks

Mark
How do I turn off the automatic File compression when I attach a document to an Outlook email?  Many times the receiver cannot open the compressed attachment because they don't have Mac Outlook, and in other cases the attachment doesn't warrant a compression because it is small.

A few days ago I wanted to copy a Word document with pictures from my PC to my MacBook.  So I sent an email with a large attachment from my PC Outlook 2010/Hotmail email, which I then later on opened in Outlook/Hotmail on my Mac.  My MacBook Pro Retina running OS X 10.7.5  with Outlook 2011 for Mac. Since then this 28MB mail has been sending itself every 20 minutes or so on the Mac only.  The repeated mail doesn't show up on my PC and it doesn't show in the Mac Sent box.  I.e. the only place I can see that mail again and again is in my Mac inbox.  This is obviously driving me crazy so any ideas would be most welcome
