Hi there, I have an outlook.com address in my maiden name which has an old hotmail account attached to it it. My new husband sweetly reserved me a new outlook.com address with my new married name. I cant seem to find a way to add them all together.
I would like to use the email address in my new name but not loose all the folders, attached email addresses and email in my old name account. Please help, thank you :o)
I have just logged into the hotmail account which I set up in my maiden name. This account had a mail forwarding set up to ensure that all mail was sent to the hotmail account in my married name. On logging in tonight the account has been upgraded to Outlook
and is completely empty, no emails, no folders and no mail forwarding. I cannot understand how Microsoft have deleted all of this information, without any notification. I have tried to restore deleted email but to no avail. What options are available to me
now?
My name is Naomi.Let me start by saying that I hope this makes sense. I tried my best to explain my problem without making it too confusing.
My email address involved my maiden name so today I added an alias to my email account to reflect my new married name. After this I deleted the other original maiden name alias...which was my email address. My initial idea was that this would change my email address to reflect my new name. Now it is saying, when I try to log in, that the first alias account...the original email account... doesn't exist. I couldn't log in to my email using the new alias either. So then, I created a whole new email account with the alias I changed my email to...my married name. This worked and so I tried to add my first (maiden name) email as an alias but it says that email address still exists. How can it exist but when I try to log on using it, it says it doesn't exist. *sigh* I need to be able to get back into that email account. it has very important emails in it that I need to access. I just wanted to change my email address, I didn't want to make my account inaccessible!!!!I don't know what to do or how to log into my old email account that I started with. Any help would be appreciated.

I now have two email accounts with Hotmail. One uses my maiden name and the new one is in my married name. Is there an easy way to copy my contact list into my new account, or do I have to write to everyone telling them my new address. If I do this, it
will be easier from my old account, where the contacts are located, but harder for them to save my new address. Any suggestions?
I have divorced. My email address now contains the WRONG (married) name since I am going back to my maiden name. I have created an Alias with the correct email address I want... but I can not write new email with this alias. So I am still stuck writing new email with wrong name in email address.
How do I turn my Alias into a REAL email address and not LOSE all my SAVED email that I have accumulated over the last 12 years?
