I then went to a Windows machine, and setup a mail client in it to see if it would work, and the same type of issue.
Is Outlook.com having issues with downloading content to email clients? Did something change with the port settings?
Help...
Original title: live mail client
I have a problem and wonder if anyone on the forum can help. I use Live Mail as an e-mail client on my laptop(win 7).I have it set up to download messages from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as well as 2 other e-mail accounts via "pop" mail. All this works fine and I am very happy with it ,except for the following problem. My work takes me to Europe and most often Norway but while I am out of the country although the mail client gets my "pop" mail it refuses to download my windows live account messages. The problem disappears as soon as I get home again and all works fine.I do get the Error code 0x80048820 but no one seems to no what this is. I think it maybe microsoft refusing access to my e-mail because of my different I.P. address. I can however access my live account on my mobile phone so can't understand why my computer cannot do it. Would having a static IP address help??or do I need to change something in settings. This has gotten me and several friends beat so I hope you can help. Thankyou.
In the mail client for windows live, how do you mass delete the entire contents, or contents prior to a particular date, etc without having to delete every message one a time?
And why doesn't your organization publish sensible detailed instructions on how to use your products? Does it have to do with job security?
From,
I'm about to trash all microsoft c r a p and go with user friendly products and stop supporting your organization with my hard EARNED money.
