Error message 554 5.4.7 received when sending e-mails to embarqmail

I have just recently received the following message multiple times when sending to an e-mail address that I have used often.  Any idea what the problem is and how I can resolve it?

This message was created automatically by the mail system (ecelerity).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

>>> *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (while not connected): 554 5.4.7 [internal] exceeded max time without delivery

by mistake I said I did not want to update my windows live mail and have now been blocked out, how do I recover my mail system without reinstalling and thus losing all of my saved mail ?

My comodo firewall asked for permision to allow live mail update and I inadvertently said no. Now I have no live mail and probably have lost all of my saved mail if I have to reinstall.
