Hi.
MacBookPro Retina
Mavericks 10.9
Office 14.3.8
Every time I light on my mac, without open Outlook, the system rebuild the identity and wait a lot of time before the blue progressive bar works. I have an SSD HD, I don't understand why!

[Issues with Mavericks need to be in their own post not added to a post from 2012. I'm moving this to a new post to get the attention it deserves.]
Perodically, all of the current email stored on the mail server is downloaded.   I've did a fresh install of Mavericks and Office 2011 and have the latest patches installed.  It is annoying to download the complete inbox every couple of hours.  The only other choice is to have outlook download all email from the mail server, but this does not allow me to view from iPhone, etc.
I installed Mavericks about 10 days ago and since then I have experienced numerous issues. The main problem I am having is not being able to receive emails from my IMAP account without manually clicking send/receive at least 5 times before emails are sent. My settings have not changed at all. One other thing I notice is that outlook is continuously trying to sync as the progress box always showing the inbox uploading with nothing happening.
This is extremely frustrating and renders Outlook useless for me. Has anyone else experienced this?
During update to Mavericks, Outlook failed to close and locked up.  The Mavericks update was successful, but I have been unable to recover the Main Identity.  I am using a Mac Air which only has 128 GB disk.  I have read that at least 300 GB should be used to recover the identity.  Is there a way to use an external disk to perform recovery?  I read where one individual used a Mac Pro to perform the recovery, but I believe that  means you must have Outlook installed there.  And how would you access the Main Identity from the second computer or with an external drive?
Hi,  I have the SkyDrive client installed on my MacBook Air running Mavericks.  Between my Surface Pro 2 and my iPhone files that are uploaded stay in sync, however my MacBook Air never syncs.  Help please.

Cheers
Dave
Since upgrading to Mavericks I've experienced connection issues with Outlook.  There has been issues with my inbox synching and mail being sent.  My local Outlook install is connected to an Office 365 account and since our whole company uses Exchange this is a major issue for me.  Does anyone have a fix?  Is this is an Office 2011 issue or Mavericks issue?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am getting the spinning multicolor wheel periodically in Outlook 2011 since upgrading to Mavericks. I get a 5-second pause about once or twice a minute. There does not seem to be any specific action that causes it.
-Outlook version 14.3.8
-Account is Exchange. No other mail accounts are connected.
-MacBook Pro 16gb memory, i7 intel

So far I have:
  • Re-indexed the data storage file
  • Removed large amounts of email. Trash, Deleted Items, Junk mail. Archived old emails.
  • Tried using a different user profile
  • Removed and added the exchange account
  • Totally removed office 2011 and all related files and re-installed it.
Any ideas to resolved this issue?

I've had hotmail for years and years and years. I'm on a macbook pro using Mavericks 10.9... But not sure that even makes a difference, as I'm using a firefox browser to access my hotmail massage through outlook.com... When I sign in, my inbox is empty. I can see old emails in the folders, but the inbox is empty, and if I send mail to hotmail, there simply is no mail. What gives?
Installed iOS X Mavericks on my iMac. After installation, noticed that SkyDrive crashes on opening. Removed SkyDrive and downloaded again. Installation was successful, but when the application opened, it "quit unexpectedly". What is happening here?
We now know Mavericks removed sync services allowing the calendar in Outlook to push appointments to iCal which could be sync'd to other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, etc).  In iTunes 11.1.2 the selection page was also removed forcing us to use iCloud.  Without sync services there has to be a way to sync directly from the calendar in Outlook to iCloud.  On PC's there is a download called the iCloud Control Panel - looks just like the iCloud panel in Systems Preferences on my Mac.  This will allow you to sync an Outlook calendar directly to iCloud.  My question is, on my Mac if I install this iCloud Control Panel will it work the same way as with a PC using Outlook?  If not, there doesn't seem to be a way to sync calendars from Outlook.  In the iCloud panel within SYstems Preferences on my Mac there isn't a selection for which calendar you want to sync to iCloud - I assume this applies on to the iCal.

[BTW with the aid of Apple Care I was able to recover back to Mountain Lion in order to maintain sync'ing as before the Mavericks install.  However, I notice if I install iTunes 11.1.2 even with ML, the selection page disappears thus necessitating using iCloud.  For now I am sticking with iTunes 11.1.1.  At some point I will need to update - hopefully this sync problem will be solved by then.]
