Is it correct that I now will no longer be able to use my Microsoft Surface nor will I be able to use my Windows Phone, because both of these devices require a Microsoft account to login. By blocking my account permanently and not allowing me to appeal this case, this is what you are stating, is that correct? I sincerely hope that you reconsider, because I does not seem to make sense to block a user from all their devices (and thus having to return all of them to the store), simply because of such a matter.

Hallo
I am having trouble signing in with my Windows Live ID.
After installation I've been unable to login to my ms account
after upgrade from 8.1. I've entered the right password
what was in use prior to the upgrade but it come with a message
the password is incorrect. Now "the password"
has been entered "too many times" so sign - in "is blocked.
Can't sign - in to an applications or services
requiring the use of the password for the account "such as Windows Store apps".
There's no point to reinstallating the o/s's 8.0 ans 8.1 as the problem
eventually lies with the password in the server "not being recognised".
The cellphone / handy associated with the account "has changed"
and what I needed is a link to my ms account so the cellphone / mobile nr.
could be changed therefore the ability to get the code to gain access to updating the account.
Can anyone help please ?

You've lost access to your email
The inbox you've been using is no longer available. This can occur when your account is owned by an organization, or when someone else confirms ownership of the email address.
You haven't lost access to the other services you use with your Microsoft account. However, you must choose a new primary alias to continue.
Verify your information
Sign in with another Microsoft account
I have looked at people with the identical problem and answers seem to have been given privately. I have redacted the email address but can provide privately.
Thanks
Hi Microsoft
I've been trying to resolve an issue for a week without success.
I had a microsoft account, that was created with a Windows 8 registration using my custom domain email address, that was deleted last week after speaking to an advisor in presales techincal support for a completely unrelated issue.
The advice I was given has caused problem in that I havent been able to restore the account using the same email address as I wanted.
The reason I deleted the account was so that I could clear the previous registration of any backups and unwanted data from areas like skydrive. I was advised this was the best way, but now it seems I cannot use the same email address to create a new registration and this is causing many problems as I cant order a surface pro 2 as required using the business email id.
It also means that I cannot register the email id I want against my user name when i register a new windows 8 computer.
I was advised that as I had used a non-microsoft email address, I would be able to delete and reuse the email ID in a new registration when I liked. I'm unable to do so.
I have been advised to try and restore my deleted account by using the following link
But this has not worked as the link says my account does not exist.
Please could you help.
I can provide my email ID in a private message if some can send me a message to reply to.
Finally, can you advise me of the time frame it will take to resolve this situation as it is causing a lot of problems and all because I was given the incorrect advice by Microsoft employees.
got message to verify account. Signed up for microsoft account - and completed questions. My old hotmail account has disappeared along with all its contents. How do I get it back? Tried setting up new one, but doesn't seem to bring across what I wanted - old contacts, emails etc. Please is anyone able to help. Not so good at all this new stuff
Hi folks,
I've read earlier threads on this issue and followed all the steps (opened up in other browser, and in private etc) and found one solution briefly worked (typing /university details in my case it's a .ac.uk account) but that no longer works now.
Here's the problem:
I try to log into my outlook university account (which is not and never has to my knowledge been a 365 account) in the normal way and I get the following message
***You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)***
When I click the 'here' button it just goes back to the above message.
Now there are some very important mails in that account and I need to be able to access them...I saw on one of the earlier threads on this issue that microsoft are aware of the issue and are working on a solution but this is going on a very long time from what I can see and still NO SOLUTION??
I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out here as I really do need to be able to open this account.
Thanks!
While upgrading windows 7 to windows 8.1, I created a new Microsoft account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***). I was not allowed to use my old Hotmail.com email (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) , so I used the same name but at hotmail.co.uk. Now I only receive a few welcome message from Microsoft, but cannot even login to my old Hotmail account, so I cannot access all my old messages. I would like to keep my old account name, as that is what all my friends know! How do I do this?
Note that I tried deleting the Hotmail.co.uk account, but that did not help, and I still seem to be on it.
