I run windows 8.1 and updated the Microsoft essentials update only to find that it had deleted/removed windows live mail from my desktop/computer. I use live mail as my main mail program and want to know why this update is doing this, I have had to restore
my system to get live mail back and now have to refuse the update until I can work out what is going on.

I am unable to uninstall Microsoft Essentials from my laptop. I run Windows XP. I kept getting the same error message: Error Code: Ox8007064A

I downloaded Microsoft Essentials and its working 100% however it is in Spanish and I don't understand the language. Must I re install or can I change somewhere. Thanx

Hi, I've been using the Family Safety software suite included with Microsoft Essentials for filtering/blocking purposes with the computer of a child I tutor. Recently, as in only the last couple of days, the "Block Everything" or whatever it is called
stopped functioning; I can see that he has been on a ton of websites that I definitely did not add to the allowed list. I've worked with parental control software before, so the first thing I looked for was plugins that might be having a negative effect on the software; nothing.
The browser being used is Mozilla Firefox, updated to the latest version. The OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
Any help would be greatly appreciate; without the parental controls my student will not be allowed to use his computer on the internet without supervision, and his mother cannot devote that kind of time to watching him.

at some point in the last month my security essentials disappeared and would not re install i followed all the help inputs but nothing is working now i cant bring malware back and my user screen is now locked up forced to run in safe mode have a list a
mile long of errors from bios to auto update not working suspect missing or corrupt registry but burnt through fixit no result or my original vista is contaminated by to many incorrect updates bluescreen x2, to many codes to list,server communicate null network
adapters as unknown device but with driver???,script line character undefined null not an object ?? registry size limit ok . hot fixes wow way to many is there an idiot proof way of starting over master reset push button done to heck with all my or my daughters

For the past 2 days we have been receiving "undeliverable" and "failure" notices in our Hotmail/Outlook inbox for emails sent entitled "SUP", "Good Morning", "Good Evening" etc. I immediately changed our password yesterday & have done multiple virus
& Malware scans. We have Microsoft Essentials running at all times, and yet people are still receiving these SPAM messages from us. Strangely, there is no record in our "Sent" folder to show that these emails were sent from our email, as with another time
we were hacked. I changed our password again this morning, and still we are receiving notes from friends saying that they are getting these emails.
What else can we do to stop this????
