Yesterday (29th May 2013) my Live smtp server suddenly refused to send any more - online and via Thunderbird. 

The same applied to my partner`s account on her laptop. 
Do you know what has happened. I have tried changing my password and all the obvious settings. In coming mail works fine.

My Settings have not changed:
 Descr. : Microsoft Live Hotmail
Server Name: smtp.live.com
Port: 587
User name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Authentication method: Normal Passord
Connection Security: STARTTLS


The same settings for my partner except User name *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Both outgoing accounts stopped working at about the same time.

Has something been changed?

PS. If I try and send an email via Windows Live Mail (Web page) direct as soon as I click on Email message I get 

"A problem occurred while trying to open this message.

A problem has occurred. Please try Again."
