After using Migration Assistant to move files from old Macbook to new, Outlook will not open.  It flashes briefly, but will not open.

System log shows this error:

Microsoft Outlook[1543]: objc[1543]: Class ERExtraKeyedTableColumn is implemented in both /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/OutlookPaletteItems.framework/Versions/14/OutlookPaletteItems and /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Microsoft Outlook.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft Outlook. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Please help.

Every system I have looked at has this in the event logs. From digging, I am speculating MS is using old code in Outlook. If this is found to be true, when could we, the consumers, expect the code to be brought current. I understand it is a no-fatal issue at the present time, but my logs are full of this type of "no issue" logging. Since OTAtomicAdd32 is being removed soon, as stated in the logging from Apple, 1) I do not know when and how that will impact me, and 2) I do not know what features, plugins, or other enhancements I am failing with or not gaining access to.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

When I start Outlook it immediately shuts down displaying following error message: Microsoft Outlook moet worden gesloten omdat er een fout is opgetreden. Werk dat niet is opgeslagen, gaat mogelijk verloren. (I have Dutch version: In English that would be: Microsoft Outlook will be terminated because an unknown error occurred).

Did anyone experience the same and know how to solve this? It worked correct before and it just started out of the blue.

Thank you in advance
On the MacBook Pro, O/S 10.8.5, Microsoft Outlook 2011: For some emails with a later time of receipt, they are appearing in the inbox lower down, beneath other emails that were already received earlier on, instead of at the top, like normal. What could be causing this?
Hello - I am using Microsoft Outlook 2011 Mac, and I am having difficulty with 2 IMAP accounts I have configured. The problem I am having is after configuring these accounts IMAP settings, Outlook connects to the accounts, but indicates "Sync Pending" (and no e-mail messages have been sync'd).

These 2 e-mail accounts are: GMail and Outlook.com. I would also like to note that neither of these e-mail accounts have large mailbox sizes (nothing close to 1Gb). Also, for the GMail accounts, I have enabled IMAP.

NONE of these accounts will sync (even though they have been configured correctly). I have even tried removing BOTH accounts, and only configured one of them (Outlook.com), but it makes no difference.  Here is the config I am using for the Outlook.com account:

I have also tried changing the Outgoing Server SSL port to 465 - makes no difference.

I have messed with these settings hoping it will work, such as unchecking the Sync all IMAP folders, enabling it and changing the interval from anywhere from 2 - 30 minutes. I have also tried checking the Use IMAP IDLE setting, with all possible combinations. To no avail, nothing works.

This is my Outlook version:

I am using the following Macbook Pro:

No matter what I change, I still receive:

I have rebuilt and deleted the Outlook Identity as well. Mind you, I have just installed Microsoft Office 2011 Mac, so my issues are not related to an existing installation that "all of a sudden stopped working".

If you ask me, the IMAP settings are broken, and simply don't work in Outlook 2011 Mac.

Is this a KNOWN ISSUE with Outlook 2011 mac, or has someone else figured out how to make this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

I am trying to set up Microsoft Outlook on a new Macbook pro using Maverick. When I try add a new e-mail account and click on "E-mail" account, the screen freezes  and I have to force quit outlook. Has anyone seen this bug before?

Hi

I have a BT internet.com address but have set this up in Outlook . Although it is not under the top Inbox(Personal Folders)  it shows up underneath in an additional Inbox.  However, in BTYahoo mail I had several folders of saved emails that I would like to be able to use in Outlook.  These do not exist in Outlook at the moment. Is there a way of transferring them over please?

Thank you for any help.

I would like to migrate my Archive Email from Microsoft Outlook 2011 for MAC to Microsoft Outlook 2010 for Windows. Is there any tool available so that mails are converted to PST without any loss. I have gone through some excessive, which end up with result that some of the mails are corrupted. Hence, I do not want to loose single email and want to migrate to Outlook 2010 for Windows from MAC.
