A few days ago I bought a Microsoft surface , the product is amazing overall but my Skype has been playing up . I try to call one of my friends and it keeps ringing but never gets to them. They ring me and I press the answer button and it automatically ends the call . I thought it might have been my Wi-Fi playing up but I tried Skype at other peoples houses and it did the exact same thing , I was wondering if it was my tablet playing up, or my Skype or even my Wi-Fi.

Thanks for your time.

Recently i just moved to outlook.com and got myself upgraded on skydrive account. My intention was to use outlook.com as my email base so that i'm mobile and only need microsoft surface to work.

What i did was to move my current .pst file from outlook 2010 and have all my previous mails on outlook.com. I've set up my live account on outlook 2010 using outlook connector and after adding in the .pst file (1.3gb), i've dragged in all the folders in my .pst file to a folder which i created under outlook.com

My problem is that out of 3 folders i've created, 2 of them loaded in fine with no problems but the 3rd one seems not to be working at all. All the folder structure under the 3rd file which is from the .pst file is available on outlook.com but not the mails.

Why is it so slow to load mails from the pst. to online? Does outlook.com have limitation on size to be stored online. Did i messed up something?

How can i do it faster to have all my emails migrated to outlook.com and not lose anything.

Please help me on this. I'm clueless.

Our Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8.1 and Photo Gallery is installed.

We need to be able to access videos and photos on the Surface that were stored on a Windows 7 desktop and would like to use SD cards.

We need Photo Gallery to show the tags, ratings, and captions that were created on the desktop (Windows 7).

We know how to copy video and photo files.  We don't know how to preserve the tags, ratings, and captions when transferring them to SD cards to use on the Surface.

We want to keep the video and photo files on the SD card.  We do not want to copy them to the Surface internal drive.

Thanks

I bought a Microsoft Surface and love it.  Here's my problem:  I create files in Microsoft Word and password protect them.  I use my SkyDrive as a backup in case something happens to my surface (stolen, lost, broken, etc.).  The snag is, if anyone gets on my computer and hits the SkyDrive button all the password encrypted files instantly open without asking for a password.  What's the point in having a SkyDrive backup if I can't password protect them?

Is there a way to password protect either the file I save to SkyDrive OR access to the SkyDrive from my Surface?  For instance, if someone tried to access my SkyDrive from my Surface, is there a way to password protect access to even get on my SkyDrive?

And if not, can anyone recommend a service I can store my files on that's like SkyDrive?  From reading other answers it seems that Google's version of cloud storage can't password protect access to files either.  Thanks in advance for any help.

I have been trying for 3 days now to set up my email on my new Microsoft Surface through the Outlook program, every time I get message saying can't connect to Outlook right now try again later.  I am connected to the internet, so what is the problem?  And why isn't there a Support phone number we can call instead of waiting for days to get an answer, if you even get one?????

I have been trying for 2 days to sync up my email accounts through this Outlook program on my new Microsoft Surface and I keep getting the message we can't connect to Outlook right now please try again later, wth?

Hello, I recently had my Microsoft Surface Pro stolen from me and would like to see if it has been logged onto since it went missing to give the police some assistance in finding it. I would like an IP Log to help see if it has been used.

I have the password recovery validation email ready to prove ownership of the account.

Thanks,

Andrew
