Today I received a message from  Microsoft (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) giving a code number and asking me to copy it or change my password. As the message does not look fake, I changed my password. Frankly, I am a bit worried that the message might be a scam. Any help! 

I seem to be getting the message outlook has a problem and to report this to Microsoft.

but I can sign in with a msn and a live email account.

it was bad enough loosing all my folders and saved emails when it switch to outlook and now this?

Microsoft seems to be going down hill.

 

My email account is being hacked. My alternate email address has also been changed. I filled the form to get a password reset link on my other ID. 
i got this email from Microsoft account,

but i didn't got any additional email with a link to reset my password.
Please help!

Having just spent 40 minutes on the phone to 3 diffrent Microsft support people, I have been told to post my issue on this forum and someone from Microsoft will help me.

 

When I try and log into my Microsoft Account, I get a message that says it looks like someone might be using your account.  So i click "next" and attempt to request a security code.  I have the option of text or email.  Text doesn't work as I input my landline and not mobile number when i set up the account, ut when I select email, it brings up an email message to say, the service is unavailable please try again later.

 

I have tried the third option to verify my account which requires a form to be filled in, but all I ge in response to this, is a password reset and when i try an log in, I still get stuck at the security code screen.

 

I an using IE and have tried diffrent computers, iPhone, Blackberry etc.

 

Any help is appreciated as I don't want to lose my xbox live gold membership and Gamertag by simply opening another account.
