Created video in MM using Windows 8 last year.  Worked great.  Now it tells me the file is corrupt and cannot be opened.  Your support page tells me to put the file on skydrive, set to public, then email you the link.  Only problem is the step that says to send the link to Microsoft has no way to send you the link, so I'm hoping this will work.  If not, please provide an accurate link for Step 4 in your resolution instructions to send the link.

I had an MSN e-mail account that was hacked several months ago; Microsoft blocked it entirely, so I could not open it to read or send messages.  I then

opened a new account, using the Outlook e-mail.  The new account is working normally; however, when I want to forward photos or pictures from

Facebook, MSN  news or other sources, I get an error message referring to the old hacked account.  I tried uninstalling Windows live mail 2012 and

then reinstalling it, but the problem persists, when using my Dell desktop.  However, if I try to forward pictures using a very old  Lanovo laptop,

the screen shows the old e-mail and the new one, and I can click on the new one and the transmission goes through.  How can I eradicate the

hacked e-mail account from my desktop computer?

Hey Microsoft now that LogMeIn has gone all pay for its service could you do us a favor and bring back Live Mesh or at least add the RDP into SkyDrive for us because I miss being able to get into my computers if the need arises and I am offsite. I miss being able to get in and fix my idiot brothers computer from my desktop when he is 80 miles away (talking him through it is a migraine waiting to happen. I know that this probably won't happen but one can always dream. I Miss my Live Mesh.

Hi MelodyFoutty,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. We understand that you are having some trouble attaching files to an email message and do not wish to use SkyDrive in doing so. In this case, I suggest that you follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
  2. Create a new message by clicking the +New button on the menu bar.
  3. Compose your message and add a subject.
  4. Click the Insert button on the menu bar, then click Files as attachments.
  5. Navigate to the file that you wish to attach to your email message, then click the Open button.
  6. Type in the email address of the recipient.

However, in case you are using Windows Live Mail, you can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Insert tab, then click the Attach file button.
  2. Navigate to the pictures which you wish to attach on the email, then click the Open button.

Note: If you click the Change to photo album link, it will automatically be converted to SkyDrive option.

Additionally, you can simply drag and drop any pictures onto the body of the email message, so that those pictures will be embedded on the body of the emails.

But, if you directly attached the pictures using the Photo album button, then by default, it will be uploaded through SkyDrive.

If we may ask, could we know as to how you are sending the pictures so we can have a better understanding of the issue?

If this is not the case, please provide us more details regarding this concern, so we can continue to address it

Thanks!

I to am having trouble with Skydrive.  I am using Windows live mail12, and Windows 7 Professional.

Previously I used "Send to" ... "Email recipient" after right clicking on the photo that I wanted to send, and all worked well.  Now when contacts receive the email they can not view a slide show or download the pic.  I have tried emailing to myself with the same result.  I can use the "Insert" option in a new email, but this automatically reduces the size of the pic, resulting in the recipient not having a decent size file to print.

Any help would be appreciated.  Des

My hotmail a/c which months ago Microsoft changed to outlook has not worked since Jan. 19.  When I open it I see my folders but cannot open them nor any emails which I am now getting on a different a/c but I want my folders.  I have Windows Office 2007 and XP which only allows me to have internet explorer 8.  I've written every day to Microsoft and they acknowledge receipt but the problem persists.

I was given a new Windows 8 phone at my company. Our company recently switched from Blackberries to Windows Phones. So far I like the phone, but I cannot sign in to download apps, updates, or do ANYTHING, because every time I try to sign in I'm told that I don't have parent's permission to do so.

I'm guessing I entered the wrong birth year by mistake when I first signed up. This was an HONEST mistake and I want to fix it, but I can't even enter my account to correct the birth date.

So, I decided that I will create another account on my phone and use that instead. Turns out I can't do that either since the username on the phone's Microsoft account CANNOT BE CHANGED...unless I reformat the phone or something. I don't want to do that because I want to keep my contacts, messages, etc

So naturally I came on this website to find a solution. I tried to ask a question in the forum. Guess what? I COULDN'T DO THAT EITHER!!! Why? Because I need to sign in to my damn Microsoft account, WHICH I CANNOT DO.

I created another account here just to be able to ask this stupid question, which there should be an easy solution for that I can find online and fix the problem myself, but there is no such thing.

I would like someone from Microsoft to help me fix this problem. Otherwise, I am going to ask my boss to no longer do business with Nokia Windows phones and return to using Blackberries. This is such a trivial problem that should be easily fixed, but I'm having so much trouble with it.

Someone please help me with this?
One of our users's pointed out the lack of Time Zone information that used to be displayed by Outlook. My guess is that one of Microsoft's updates broke this feature. As you can see in the below images, the UTC drift used to be displayed in the Date header on forwarded or replied emails. Does anyone no of a way to get this information back? Or have specifics as to what broke this feature?
