When I log into MSN I automatically appear offline and when I click 'available' my MSN freezes.  I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling/fixing/clearing internet history/clearing proxy settings (I don't have a proxy server, but figured it wouldn't hurt), unchecked the box to automatically configure and nothing will work.

Still cannot resolve this error and now msn's site is not working. I'm going to have to give up trying msn messenger.

Error:

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe".
Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active.

Conflicting components are:

Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.4148_none_5090ab56bcba71c2.manifest.

I navigated to these components and the system won't allow me to delete either of them.
I recently bought a zipit wireless messenger and i can not get it to log on to msn messenger (it connects to my internet.) Anyone else have this problem or suggestions?
I use an Microsoft webcam (Vx3000) on MSN Messenger and it will not show video calls at all. It used to work on the previous messenger but after downloading the new version I keep getting a message saying my video card driver does not work.. What's going on?

I use an Microsoft webcam (Vx3000) on MSN Messenger and it does video calls with sound very well.

Previously when I used Xp the person at the other endof the video call could hear and enjoy my background music and we often exchanged tunes.

The webcam and its internal microphone report that everything is functioning but now although we can converse easily the other person cannot hear my music although I can easily hear songs that she plays?

Is there a setting in the Realtek Audio system that needs changig?

Thank you for any suggestions I may implement

Jim
