I made quite the video on Movie Maker. It's a music a video of sorts with cuts of the band playing (both live and the music video) mixed with video of certain things from the Civil Rights movement. It all ends with a bang where the last minute is a cascade of pictures timed perfectly to a constant drum beat during the last minute. I worked for 6+ hours and I was finally satisfied with the timing and ready to save it.

This is where the problem arises. The timing has been thrown off ever so slightly. It seems to have been a tad sped up. The transitions weren't perfect in Movie Maker, but that's what gave it the timing I wanted (I should add I didn't manually insert any transitions. I'm simply referring to the natural transition between clips). The saved file has cleaned the transitions up a bit to the detriment of the timing. I don't want to go back in a manually change the timing, because I'd go mad.

I'm a total amateur at this. Is there a setting that just translates the exact Windows Movie Maker product to a movie file?

When I trim a music video I get poor synchronisation of music and vision. I have tried various editing techniques with all the same result.

Very frustrated, had a Movie Maker music video almost done and now seems completely frozen, corrupted.  I've done similar projects quite a few times in the past, with an original audio track, then stitched together and edited video frames shot on my iphone.  These projects tend to have 30 or 40 or so raw video clips that are then heavily trimmed, sometimes slowed down or sped up to synch with the audio, but this project was no more elaborate than the past ones which I've always been able to complete and have been happy with.  I got the latest iphone in December 2012, and this is the first project using raw clips shot on the new iphone.  The video WAS working fine as I was nearing completion with only the usual, occasional freezing or blacking out that I've always noticed in past projects where those frames always came back fine.  This time, clip after clip just started blacking out one after another until now, when I try to play the file, it only plays the 5 second intro frame then just stops completely when the audio and first custom shot video frame should begin.  Is this something to do with the video footage being shot on the latest iphone?  A tech friend said the codecs need updated?  I've tried reloading the newest Movie Maker (originally program would've been circa 2010), now the About info says 2012.  Can my almost finished project be salvaged/restored?
