I am trying to set up a business email on Windows Live, it has instructed me to add the following MX record:

  • DNS record type: MX
  • Host: healthyprice.ca
  • MX server: 4e557f70e1e765419c5a3a67b27491.pamx1.hotmail.com
  • TTL: 3600 or 1 hour
  • Priority: 10 (or High priority)


I've done this and can see it is being served by DNS:

But when I click refresh it still doesn't let me continue the set up.  It just keeps saying "You need to prove ownership of this domain by creating a DNS record. Use the settings below."

I can't see what I have done wrong.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Lots of people have this problem so I don't feel alone.

Clicking the Refresh button on the Domain settings page never works. I can receive and send email with the custom address even though proof of ownership has not succeeded.

MX Lookup on mxtoolbox.com finds the correct MX info.

I have not been able to receive emails since oct 30, I contacted my domain provided and they stated I have to contact Microsoft for mx record so they can update it in their system, I called many times and talked to so many reps from Microsoft or msn and chat to reps to get mx record info and they have not been able to provide such information. how can I get mx record?

I get the following error message when I try sending an email from my other email account:

Hello,

I've tried various things with the dns settings. MX record number 10 value, with value 0, my txt record is added (while this is only optional in my opinion) and also removed. I have checked that there is only one MX record and I have over dnsstuff.com check if the MX record is visible, and it is!

     DNS record type: MX
     Host: vrijveld.nl
     MX server: f72235585d54449f2167acc7e407d7.pamx1.hotmail.com
     TTL: 3600, or 1 hour
     Priority: 10 (or High priority)



Who knows what to do and who can help me asap?

The account is for our neighborhood association and the board would like to continue with the mail :-)

Dear Team,
I have already sucessfully updated the MX Record in DNS Server of www.britishcertification.in domain since 36 hours but its still showing "It may take a few minutes to complete the changes to your service. Please check back later.  You can Cancel service or Edit mail settings"


Why this type of error message coming up and how to resolved it .awaiting your valuable reply on the same 


I updated my MX record and TXT record and activated my account using the instructions on domains.live.com.  However, my email is still not functioning properly.  I am able to send emails but I am unable to receive them.  

When I logged back into domains.live.com it looks like the requirements changed from <MX token>.pamx1.hotmail.com to <MX token>.msv1.invalid the next day.  


Do I have to update the MX records again or is this a different issue?

Hi,

Even after 7 days of adding of MX record my account (sndoctors.in), Admin center still shows "prove ownership of this domain" 

I have added both MX record as well as 2 txt records as indicated in the 
Windows Live Admin Center

How much time would it take normally for a MX record verification ?
