Don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but my domain is sakkana.com.bo and the registrar does not provide access to change MX Records. How can I prove ownership of my domain?
I've set up my windows live account. I've created a DNS entry with DYNDNS.
I'm able to send mails but not able to receive them. I've created the MX record on DynDNs using the values supplied.
The value supplied by windows live for the MX record was similar to 1234567890be7144b64d7def281197.msv1.invalid. I've not supplied the original value.
I've other MX records set up for other domains and I can ping those ok, but I can't ping the entry from windows live.
Any ideas please.

I had setup a new custom domain on Outlook.com (greenscapeservice.com) and tried using the alternate/other methods of proving ownership (with the invalid MX record and the TXT record) but neither worked. I removed ALL mx records but the domain still wouldn't
validate. The only option is to use the live MX record from hotmail.com.
Is there no way to get the alternate methods to work at all? We would like to use an alternate spam filtering service but can't since the verification will only allow the one MX record that has to be hotmail's.
Hi
I can't add a new alias because I can't collect email sent to that email address and I can't collect that mail because I have added the mx record to verify the domain ownership.
History is:
I created a Microsoft account and added the primary user with the address *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I added the mx records to verify the domain ownership and mail is coming through to Outlook.com for the mailbox *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I want to add *** Email address is removed for privacy *** but the verification is sent to that mailbox and isn't collectible because the mx record points to Outlook.com and Outlook.com rejects it as there isn't a mailbox of that name....... round and round we go!
So, as I have verified that I own the domain, why does it want a second verification and what is the way around this please anyone?
Regards
Peter
Like many others I am having a problem with my Admin Center not verifying my domain (UnluckyOne.com). I have already added one domain (Nyleen.com) with no problems, did nothing different with this one and it still doesn't work. Having read all of
the forums I have seen how horrible Microsoft support has been; Please actually help me.
I HAVE read the MX Record Error Document posted on other forum responses.
I HAVE clicked the refresh button (for weeks):
It may take a few minutes to complete the changes to your service. Please check back later. You can Cancel service or Edit mail settings |
I HAVE deleted my Domain and restarted the process (3x).
I HAVE contacted GoDaddy and verified everything is working correctly.
I HAVE checked with WhatsMyDNS.com to verify the MX Record and text record.
I HAVE even deleted the mail option and tried to verify with just the TXT record and that didn't work either.
My setting are as follows:
DOMAIN: UnluckyOne.com
Mail setup (required)
To set up mail and prove ownership of this domain, you must create an MX record through your domain registrar. Use the following settings:
- DNS record type: MX
- Host: unluckyone.com
- MX server: 2c20bb4d6fd71d4ab1aab291e849fb.pamx1.hotmail.com
- TTL: 3600 or 1 hour
- Priority: 10 (or High priority)
Hello --
I have a NameCheap webhost, and I cannot verify my domain name for the life of me. I am setting the MX record (the only one, in fact) of my domain to:
HOST NAME MAILSERVER HOST NAME MAIL TYPE MX PREF TTL
@ b7c715bbaa6d2348b1205e8d472251 MX 10 1800
But domains.live.com keeps giving me this error:
You need to prove ownership of this domain by creating a DNS record. Use the settings below.
I've made this change over 72 hours ago, have deleted and readded the domain several times. I hit the refresh button and I keep getting this error back. I don't know what to do next... any help you can provide would be great.
Thank you!
Hello,
My Domain and Hosting(weconsulta.com) is with GoDaddy.com.
They have provided very few email ids to use. But as my small firm grows, I need more email ids for my office. For that i need to use OUTLOOK.COM as my email server.
I have updated the MX record in the DNS manager section of GODADDY, but live.com / outlook.com always shows it as "Pending DNS configuration".
I have attached the Screenshot of that outlook.com page with this mail. I have also spoken with godaddy execuite regarding this issue. They informed me that they have updated the MX record in thier entry and it can checked at "mxtoolbox.com" and "network-tools.com".
I have also checked and found that it has been updated by the GoDaddy Team. I have attached the screenshot of the result of verification from "mxtoolbox.com" and "network-tools.com".
I am fedup with this issue.
Kindly guide me to resolve it.
Regards
Manjit
