How can I delete an old contact that pops up when I start a new message but is not in my current contact list?

When I click new to begin composing a new message, then start typing the letters of the contact whom I want to send a message to,
an old contact name appears in the drop down menu. I deleted this contact months ago, but it keeps popping up. When I search for this contact in my contacts file, it is not there, so I am unable to delete it. How can I remove it?

Naming an untitled folder times out

When naming or renaming a folder it times out before I can type in the folder name.  It does not allow time to type in the new name or rename the folder name.  Thank you!

Hotmail account empty of all history and folders

I believe my Hotmail account has been compromised – (removed for privacy).

When I logged on recently my account looked like a completely new account. All I have is a welcome message from the Hotmail Team, and I have lost all my contacts as well as my correspondences for the past six years.

 

My questions are as follows:

1. How can I confirm my account has been compromised? And what can/should I do about it?

2. How do I get back all my historic correspondences and contacts?

3. Can I simply close this account and re-open a new account with all my historic correspondences and contacts copied across? How would I do this?

4. I am fearful that someone may be using the original account under my name. This I clearly want to stop immediately, will closing this account achieve this is there something else I need to do? I need to ensure no one is using my account and name without my permission.

5. Finally, how can I stop this happening to my new account?

6. Why and by whom has the account been closed?

Editing contacts (People)

I have edited some of my contacts' addresses and whilst only the revised version appears in the list of contacts, when I type the name into the address bar both the revised and previous versions appear.  How do I delete the unwanted address as it does not appear in the contacts list??

What has happened to the Hotmail Contact list format?  I now don't seem to have the option to: 

a)  switch between a preference for first name/surname and surname/first name

b)  delete/edit a contact

c)  look at an alphabetical grouping - it just starts with 'A'

I am using hotmail with Firefox.  When I reply or try to type in a contact name on email it doesn't fill in the name? My contacts list also is not available?  It had been working?

Exporting Contact Group

Is there anyway to export a specific group to an excel sheet without it exporting every name in your contact list?
