But how can I do this? I have moved the email folders I want to archive to a new folder "On My Computer" and named is "Archive". However, the export option seems to want to export my entire database rather than a specific folder. Further, I keep being
prompted that my database cannot be rebuilt with an error code. I know my inbox has a lot of files - which is why I want to archive - but not delete.
I cannot create a new folder (its not highlighted to allow me to do it), although once in awhile I can. What's going on and how do I prevent this problem? Thanks for your help.
I have just bought a new laptop which comes with Windows 8 already installed.
In Windows 8, on my Hotmail email page, there is no place to create a new folder. I have right-clicked using the mouse, nothing shows up.
When I swipe from bottom up, there appears a few options like, Sync, Pin It, Move, etc, but no icon for New Folder.
How do I create a new folder to organize my emails?
Does anyone know how to do this? Please help.

I just bought an new iMac and Office: mac2011 and I'm in the trial mode for the software. No problems so far with Outlook connections to mail server, but Outlook won't let me create a new folder to store emails. When I go to Help or New, other options
are available but Folder remains in shaded grey, ie. not an option to open a new folder.

One of my Hotmail folders has somehow become a sub-folder. How can I change it back? I'm hoping there's a quicker way than just creating a new folder, moving all the contents across and deleting the sub-folder.
I have tried to find a solution to create a local/personal folder for my mails. I'm using IMAP account with outlook and my server space is running out.
For some reason I have not found a solution for this. When I have created a new folder the system does not ask or show where the folder is located and I can not get the properties open for the folder.
In the Windows version i can do: File, New, Folder. This in order to organize and file my e-mails. My Mac version -2011- shows the Folder command in grey, as if it is unavailable. Why is this? Why can't i use this function? Thanks.
I can create a new folder for emails but when i double click to name the folder, it only stays in edit mode for 1-3 seconds - not enough time to fully type the folder name. Anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix this? it's anoying not being able
to edit folder names.
