Having Trouble Viewing and Sending newsgroup Messages

When I try to view and send messages on newsgroups via Windows Live Mail 2011, I get these error messages.

Unable to send or receive messages for the news.eternal-september.org account. Windows Live Mail could not post your message. Subject 'Re: Everyone having Endless Fun with our **** and MENTALLY RETARDED flake "starburst" on these Groups! LOL' Server: 'news.eternal-september.org' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E Protocol: NNTP Port: 119 Secure(SSL): No Socket Error: 10060

Configuration: Account: news.eternal-september.org Server: news.eternal-september.org User name: mejercit Protocol: NNTP Port: 119 Secure(SSL): 0 Code: 800ccc0e

This has not happened before. How do I fix this?

I accidentally deleted a group of newsgroup messages in Microsoft Live mail 2009.  The messages still exist on the newsgroup server.  How can I get them back?  I have tried synchronizing all, synchronizing the selected newsgroup, and unsubscribing and then subscribing to the newsgroup.
