New Mail notification sounds when email is deleted from junk folder

This has been a long term problem with Windows Live Mail 

The new mail sound notification works as expected for new mail arriving in my inboxes BUT whenever I delete an email from my JUNK mail folder a few seconds later I get the New mail notification sound.

The visual indicator in the taks bar also suggests a new email has arrived but this  is not correct. There are no new or unopened emails in Hotmail or any other other accounts I use in WLM. The new mail notification is not accurate as presently it is constantly giving false alarms.

Please advise.

I have a new Windows 8 laptop. My live mail is set to play a notification sound when I receive an email. Each time I receive an email I get the notification sound at the same time that the email appears on my account, which is what I want and am used to, but also a sound and pop up notification several seconds earlier which is becoming very annoying.
Can anyone suggest what is going on please, and what I can do to stop these superfluous early notifications?

How can I be alerted to when I have mail in my in box when I'm on another web site. Is there away to but something on the bottom/lower information bar. Thank You

windows live messenger not accepting yahoo contacts !

I am trying to add contact in windows messenger but its not accepting the yahoo IDs. Even if someone adding me from yahoo messenger, then the invitation coming to me after accepting still pending notification to accept this contact.

I want notification of new e-mail on desk top, how!

Cannot find out how to get notification of new e-mail on my desk top, would be very grateful if any one can help.

I do not receive any audible announement with new e-mails any more….why?

When I receive a new e-mail, I use to get an audio announcement (ring) but now I get the e-mail but no announcement of anykind...I tried to readjust the notification and it all seems good...but does not work

No messenger and email notification!!

So when I sign into messenger even if I have contacts online it doesnt show them and it also doesnt show I have any emails when I do.....Does anyone know why this is happening??? Thanks

lost messenger after skype merge

i downloaded a merge of messenger and skype, now i cant access messenger,have lost mail notification ,instant messaging notification,i an access mail through the hotmail site but will not know when i receive a mail as there is no notification any more, messenger shortcut on desktop no longer works
