Hi,

I have read through other posts on this question but I have not been able to resolve. I am running Windows 7 and Movie Maker 2012. When I try to import a video (.vob) or open previously created project, the application stops working. I have checked the Event Log and found that the error appears to be related to the ntdll.dll file.

Faulting application name: MovieMaker.exe, version: 16.4.3508.205, time stamp: 0x5111fa77
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521ea8e7
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x000ce753

I have tried uninstalling and reinstlling Windows Essentials. I have deleted and reinstalled the Windows Silverlight because that was suggested on another site. I have set the compatibility in Properties to Windows Vista, because that was also suggested.

If the issue is the ntdll.dll file, what is the easiest way to replace this file? I also ran the System Checker and it found no problems with system files.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks.
