When I first purchased Office 2011 a few days ago, I imported my old Entourage emails; all was fine. Now, not a single email shows in my Outlook mail, though it shows that I have unread emails. And all the emails that were initially in my folders are still there. But nothing in my inbox, drafts, sent, or deleted.

Additionally, I can send emails. And when I receive an email, it shows it being downloaded but it is nowhere to be seen.

If I do a search for an email I know used to be in my system, it will show up in search, but not in my inbox.

I've tried every type of viewing setting but I still imagine it must be a viewing issue??

I'll be grateful if anyone can offer suggestions to solve the problem!

Good Afternoon,   I could use a little help.

In the past I have used Outlook on a PC along with iCloud to sync my calendars and contacts.   I recently switched to a Mac.  I am trying to recreate the same syncing capabilities.  I signed up for Office 365 for Home $9.99 a month which included the download of the Office 2011 for Mac.

I understand that Office 2011 for Mac does not have the capability to sync with iCloud.  I don't really care that I can't sync through iCloud.  i understand that Apple and Microsoft are fighting over who get the be the big boy and hope that they will work out their issues soon.

For now I would like to find a way that will allow me to sync my calendar and contacts through Office for Mac 2011.    Right now I am running Office 2010 with the iCloud download on Parallels and using the other Office for Mac products (word, excel, etc)

My question is does the Office 365 for Home subscription include the ability to sync the calendar and contacts and if not how would I go about it?  I see  reference to a Microsoft Exchange Server but can't tell if that is part of the subscription or something different.

thank you

I work at a school where we are all running macbook pro's with office 2011 for mac installed on our machines. We have been setup with our own office 365 organizational account where alot of us decide to use the outlook client by office 2011. I have a users computer that is showing multiple events in her calendar, it duplicates events, some events show 10 to 15 times on her calendar. Events such as birthdays, meetings and various appointments. Other users have shared they're calendar with my problem computer, giving me access to they're appointments and events and such, so I don't know if that can help with a solution, but I am seeing these duplicates happen in office 365 calendar, outlook client, iCalendar, and the users iphone. The duplicate events and such show up for months and months, so before I start deleting one by one and then just refreshing the app to have them all come back again, has anyone found a solution.

Hello

I would like to view my calendar of appointments and tasks together at the same time. The information I have found so far regarding this is for Outlook 2010 for PC and the indicated tabs don't seems to exist in my Office 2011 for Mac. I am forced to use Outlook email for work so it seems logical to try and use it as a calendar as well. If I am going to do this I want to be able to view my calendar WITH my tasks for the coming month the in some form or another without a lot of typing, clicking and unnecessary reminders! As far as I can see the three options that should be available to me are:

-Synch Outlook Calendar and Tasks such that Tasks appear on the Calendar view. I have tried this approach and despite enabling the synching the tasks do not appear.

-Open up a task bar in the calendar view. I have tried this but the tab/setting which allows a task bar to appear in the calendar view does not seem to be around in Outlook for Mac 2011.

-Use My Day for a combined view. I would do this except I can only get My Day to show 1 day at a time. This is pointless if you are trying to plan ahead to the next day or week. I need My Day to show a calendar view.

I would prefer to be able to enter Tasks and appointments on the one view (how easy it would be if you could enter an appointment or task on the one Calendar view). This would probably require the second or third options to work. However, I would take a solution for any option.

Thanks

I am running the latest version of Mac OS (10.9.2) and Office 2011 for Mac with the latest Outlook-version (14.3.9).  Approximately every third time that I start Outlook I receive a message that I need to do an identity upgrade (in Swedish "Konfigurerar Identitet..."). This takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes before i can use Outlook again.

Any idea on how I can fix this permanently? Thanks and best regards

When I send or receive a meeting cancellation in Office 2011 for Mac, the e-mail cancellation sends and looks as expected. However, the actual meeting in the calendar does not get updated? Other updates seem to go through, but cancellations do not update the meeting title or modify the meeting block to show as free.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

After a new install of Office 2011 for Mac I constantly get this error -

There is a problem with the office database.

I have followed numerous support articles which have involved Using the Database utility to recreate it, deleting the folder, moving the folder to the desktop, I have deleted and reinstalled 3 times and get the same error all of the time.

Excel and Powerpoint load, Word hangs at the welcome screen and Outlook never loads.

Anything else I can try?

I've seen several postings with solutions regarding this issue, but none are working on my MacBook Pro running on OS 10.7.5. I'm using Outlook 14.3.9.

I stopped using Outlook for mail and contacts a couple of years ago, but have continued with the Tasks function. After disappearing last week, I've tried restoring former Time Machine back ups, switching and rebuilding identities through the Microsoft Database Utility, but still have no tasks appearing.

Any other suggestions out there?

Thanks.
