Sir,

I have tried to do the following instructions but somehow failed to do so. I am not aware where the mistake came from. Below is the instructions provided to us and the actions I executed.

Dear Jonalyn,

Please follow the steps below to migrate mailbox from Office 365 to Outlook.com.

1. Log in to the Outlook.com through
http://www.outlook.com/. (My action: Log In- *** Email address is removed for privacy *** +password)
2. Click  on the right top side of the page and click More mail settings. (done)

3. Click Your email accounts under Managing your account. (done)

4. Click Add a send-and receive account under add an email account. (done)

5. Type in the name, Office 365 email address and password and click Advanced Options. (done) this is what came out .

6. Please log in to OWA of Office 365 through
http://mail.office.com/. Click on Options> See All Options… Click Settings for POP, IMAP and SMTP access… to find the POP3 incoming server information and SMTP server information. (done.. this is what came out)

7. Type the information into text bars in Outlook.com settings. Please make sure the username is the Office 365 email address. (I did not change POP because it the same digits seen in the POP3. I only changed SMTP Server from 465 to 587. And in the Username I changed Jonalyn to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

8. Click Next to finish adding. (After hitting Next. Below said " There is a problem connecting to POP3 mail server.

Then the email will be downloaded by Outlook.com from Office 365 server.
If you need detailed and professional support, you can click on the link below to contact our Outlook.com support engineer.

Appreciate you feedback.

thank you

Kind Regards

Hi, at the moment I use Outlook [office 2010] as my main email program at work.  I was wondering if I can use that .PST file via Office for Mac 2011 which is what I want to use at home.

I use drop box and therefore I can sync the .pst file across both computers that way.

is this possible? or do I need to buy Office 365 and then install that on both computers and have my datafile stored in the Microsoft's cloud service?

Hi

I have a problem I have recently got office 365 home premium online I have installed it and have gone into outlook to add a email account it is the email address that is used on my web site so it is an account that outlook will configure automatically the problem i am having is to start with iI could receive emails but not send them had a play arround not knowing what i am doing im a chef not an IT wis but anyway the out come is i now cant receive or send emails and i keep getting message come up saying outlook cannot connect to the server. verify that your computer is connected to the network. well im connected to the network well I must be im able to type this question pleeeeeeeeeeeeease heeeeeeeeeeeeelp

Ok, I have gone around and around with Microsoft on this with no answers.

I build a web compatible database for a non profit organization.

I am using the Trial of Office 365 which is Home Premium.

What do I NEED to publish this database to the web. Access is asking for a URL. I understand Office 365 comes with access to SharePoint.

I try logging into Portal.microsoftonline.com but cant get in to manage the sites.

What do I need to make this work???

Please provide a list or step by step what I need to do to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Jon

Hey, users

So first of all, I did my first mistake by buying a domain on Onlydomains.com.
Then I created the same domain for an e-mail through Microsoft Online (Office 365?) and a university license.

I proved that the domain is mine, I also added MX, A-Track records, CNAME and connected gmail POP3 to this account I created.
It worked fine for some 2 months or so but then I suddenly stopped receiving mail, it said something about POP3 configuration error.

I did what I could but it led me nowhere. I guess I configured the POP again, all mail disappeared in Outlook and now rarely some received mail appears. That includes verification mail from Gmail so I can connect them again. An error shows up that says - https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7720

Now I'm stuck and I don't know where it's gone wrong.

Office 365 Can't receive mail

Works ok for a time but then stops. If I create a new email account with all the same details and  then delete the original it may work ok for a period , but then fails again.

Receiving ok on my old laptop running Visa and office 2010, If I send email from Outlook 2013 do not receive them on Outlook.com but arrive ok on old desktop.

I have recently received the "You are currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com" error message.  I tried the steps listed in the pinned discussion, which did not help me.  The first time I logged in to Office 365 everything was fine.  I could not log in the next day.  Now every time I try to log in to Office 365 I have to use the "audio" captcha because the text method is broken (always says you entered the wrong characters). When I enter the audio characters and click "Sign In" the page is redirected to outlook.com (which is where I encountered the first error message).  This email was issued as a .edu email through a college of which I am an alumni of.  I did not receive any change notifications from the college nor Microsoft.  Please help, this is my primary email address that has been non-accessible for weeks.
I have now fully switched from Entourage, bought Office 365 small business and am pretty happy.  However with Office 2008 you had the choice of inserting either a default address or another into a Word Document such as an envelope or letter.  Pretty normal stuff.

Office 2011 only allows you to insert the default address chose in Outlook.  You cannot make the choice in Word as you could before.  So I have completely separate contacts now with business addresses and home addresses.  It is the only way to do it I guess.  However when you insert a business address such as Steve Ballmer, Microsoft, blah blah blah, you only get Steve Ballmer, blah blah blah.  No business name

Has anyone figured out how to get the company names in the inserted address?

Thanks.
