Situation:
iMac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
MS Office + Outlook 365
To install this 365 you need to have Office for Mac 2011 in place.
When we download (from MS site) Office for Mac 2011, it installs 2011 except for Outlook. Here is 2008 installed...
Don't understand why.
We also need to sync calendar and contacts with iCloud. Can anyone advise me here...
Hi,
Tim
I am using the latest version of Office for Mac 2011.
Every time I log onto my network at work, I have to re enter the Microsoft Server Address in Outlook.
I re enter the address and restart Outlook and I am then connected.
Any idea why?
Thanks
Tim
Need insight for reinstalling Office for Mac 2011and recovering Outlook file -- am running OS x 10.6.8 on my iMac currently; I have a backup of my Outlook file from Office for Mac 2011 (Time Machine did not
save it properly so I made a separate backup on an additional external hard drive). However, I don't know if I should reinstall the Office for Mac software first (from the original install disks) on new hard drive before copying backup Outlook file over
from backup drive or not. Clearly, the backup file has a more updated version for Outlook for Mac 2011 than the installation disks, given the Microsoft updates that have routinely occurred since the time I purchased the software. Please advise, if you can.
the search function no longer works. fixes?
Hi,
I reinstalled Office for Mac 2011 after upgrading to Mavericks. After configuration of incoming and outgoing email server I'm not able anymore to send emails. I made exactly the same configuration in my MacBookPro's "MAIL", where I can send emails without
any problems. For authentication of outgoing server I confirmed "same information as incoming server". Any idea what could happen?
Many thanks in advance,
Hi, Since upgrading to 10.9 Mavericks both Excel and Word (office for Mac 2011) are failing to show data in documents. I believe this is a font problem and i had exactly the same experience when i upgraded Mac OS last time.
I have seen a thread on this today, and followed the suggestions therein. namely to Open the Font Book application, Select all fonts, Validate, I then removed the fonts that were labelled as not working, to no avail. I then tried the SAFE BOOT and this
succeeded and both Excel and Word were back to normal.
However 20 minutes later, after closing and opening Excel and Word again, I am back to square one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, at the moment I use Outlook [office 2010] as my main email program at work. I was wondering if I can use that .PST file via Office for Mac 2011 which is what I want to use at home.
I use drop box and therefore I can sync the .pst file across both computers that way.
is this possible? or do I need to buy Office 365 and then install that on both computers and have my datafile stored in the Microsoft's cloud service?
Hello,
I am running Office for Mac 2011 (14.3.8) accessing an Exchange email server. I have changed the password using OWA. The new password includes special characters. OWA is working fine.
However, my Mac outlook is refusing the password and won't log into the exchange account. The password in outlook is the correct one and I have verified this through keychain manager.
Has anybody else experiences this problem with special characters? Is it possible that Outlook for Mac is incompatible with special characters?
I appreciate any help.

What is the latest Mac OS that is compatible for Office for Mac 2011?
