I updated Office for Mac 2011 with 14.3.2 and Mountain Lion with 10.8.3 today (3/20/21013).  Interestingly, all data in iCalendar, which I have to maintain to sync with my iPad, was erased (Note: I do not sync using the Cloud.  I use iTunes. I don't use the Cloud).  Entries which had been made in iCal but had never been entered in the Office 2011 calendar suddenly show up in the Office 2011 calendar.  It is as though the entire contents of the iCal had been transferred to Office 2011 calendar and the iCal file erased.  Also, as part of the update, discrepancies between the Apple Address Book application and Office 2011 Contacts were highlighted and I was asked to choose the correct entry.  Both Address books files seems to be in tact.

I've searched the internet for any explanation of what changes these two updates might have had in them but haven't come up with anything relevant to what I have experienced.  I was disappointed by the changes to the OS X system (Lion) that eliminated syncing my iPad with Outlook for Mac using iTunes.  I had to transfer my address book and contacts to Apple programs to be able to sync.  Now it seems that path has been eliminated for my calendar...at least unless I transfer all my calendar entries back to iCal...which turned out to be a PITA.

Does anyone have an explanation?  The best outcome would be that these new updates somehow gives me a way to sync Outlook contacts and calendar with my iPad, but I am not optimistic.  If syncing is not an option, Is there a good way to download my Outlook calendar to iCal?

I have a four yr old Sony all in one running Vista and Office 2007.  I have a new iMac with Office for Mac 2011.  What is the best way to migrate from the Sony to the iMac? It's my first mac.

I'm concerned about Outlook- it is enterprise, but there are multiple subsets of folders on my local C drive.

Same question for Word.  How to get all the sub folders to migrate from My Documents, Library?

Thank you for your help.

It receieves mail just fine. I get no error message. This is new - the program has worked fine since installation until this morning. What could cause this?

I'm using Office for Mac 2011. Outlook version is 14.0.0.
I'm having difficulty connecting Outlook (Office for Mac 2011) with my Outlook.com and iPhone e-mails. Each can receive and display new mail, but if I delete or read an e-mail on one platform, it doesn't update the others. (And at least Outlook.com and my iPhone used to be synced...before I started messing with settings to get all three to connect.) Essentially I now have to open or delete each message three times and am on the verge of giving up on Outlook altogether.
I just installed by Office for mac 2011 and for my outlook application, everytime I sent an email whoever sees it show as chinese writing. I went to my contact card and I noticed it was there so deleted but it is still showing. I quit the program and put it on again and same problem appears. also when i go to organize when i click into properties and permissions is gray it doesnt let me.

sorry I am just new at this. thanks for the help
I have MS Office for Mac 2011 (University) installed on my iMac with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) all seems to work ok except that I am unable to sync my iPhone and iPad calendar with Outlook. I seem to be missing a step which is not evident? Please could you help?

I am wondering about MS Exchange = Im not sure that this is, I dont understand DAV and what that is; do I need to set up a Hotmail account? It is not evident why I am unable to sync over WiFi?

many thanks

Hi.

My organization is running Exchange 2010 w/SP1 and our AD is on Windows 2008 R2.

Majority of our users are using Outlook 2010, with quite a number on Office for Mac 2011.

We have recently purchased another company, setting-up a separate domain to support their needs.

We have setup a two-way trust between our existing domain and this new domain.

This new domain users make use of our Exchange for their email services, and to make this work, we used linked mailbox.

Everything is working fine, with the exception that users using Outlook for Mac 2011 always have issue downloading their emails right after their site has undergone some maintenance e.g. power shutdown.

After a few days, it will work without any issues.

We have checked on the replication between both ADs and confirmed that all is working fine.

What else could be the issue? I know that Office for Mac 2011 relies on EWS (Exchange Web Services) and we can't find anything wrong here as well.

Appreciate if someone could point us in areas that we could look at to solve this issue from recurring.

Regards,

Adrian

I'm using Windows Phone 8, Office for Mac 2011 (Home edition), Mac OS X 10.8.2. Does anyone have any idea how to sync my WP with my Outlook calendar? (Downloaded WinPhone app as well). Thnx.
New Mac Book Pro and Office for Mac 2011. In Office 2010 running in Windows 7, I can right-click to export a folder to a PDF. Is this functionality (even if it takes additional software) available in Office for Mac 2011?
All of my incoming e-mails are coming in as daylight savings time and not standard time on Office for Mac 2011.
