On the Microsoft Support page describing known issues with Office for Mac on Apple OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, there is a link in the Summary for "more information about known issues...":
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=255462
When clicked, the link redirects this URL:
http://mac2.microsoft.com/help/office/14/en-us/word/item/5eb4aafa-5457-4ce0-8aa3-4b58cfdeeddc
which then redirects to a generic error page:
http://mac2.microsoft.com/help/GenericError.htm?aspxerrorpath=/help/topic.aspx
stating: The web server is unable to respond to your request at this time.
I just loaded OS X Mountain Lion, and am seeing some very odd behavior with Outlook, but want to find out more on the known issues details before jumping to any conclusions.
Thanks,
Jaren
My Mac crashed due to Trend Micro, and I need to restore files from Time Machine. Where to I find my olm data file? I can download a clean copy of Office for Mac, but I need my old emails, contacts. Where would I look for the olm file?
i bought the students version of office for mac 2011, but i want to know is there is an option that i can purchase or upgrade to the next version in other to use outlook...
THANKS...
Am trying to move contact records from Outlook for Windows 2010 to Office for Mac 2011. I have saved the records as a csv dos file and as a csv windows file. I have tried to import them to the Mac but whilst the process seems to work no contacts can be seen in the contacts folder under any of the categories including junk.
I have rebuilt the database and tried both the windows and dos csv's but no difference. The only thing that changes is the value for the number of items which is now showing 4341 items and increases each time I import!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris
I just bought Office for Mac 2011 Business Edition, and plan on using Outlook now instead of the Email App from Apple. One thing I really liked about it is that it would fetch for new emails at start up, so I would know right away if there were emails
waiting for me. It seems to me that with outlook, I have to click on the icon on the task desktop for it to fetch for new emails. Is there anyway around this?
Also, does anyone have any insight on when an update for the Retina Display MBP is set to come out for Office? It seems that outlook has been updated, but word is still blurry.
Any insight will be much appreciated.
I've recently upgraded my computer and Office for Mac hit it's activation limit. To be clear, the old computer was formatted and the new computer is the only one with this copy of Office.
I attempted to activate by phone, however when I finish entering my installation ID, I am asked for 'how many computers have installed this version of office?'. When I reply, the phone system immediately hangs up.
I was told to call Office Installation and Activation Support ((800) 936-5700), but after identifying my product to be Office for Mac 2011 and that I had not activated, it returns me to the same phone-registration system.
Is there a number I can use to get in touch with someone at Microsoft?
It would greatly help me to de-stress about the terrible loopholes in Office 2011, particularly Outlook's functionality, synching and spelling checkers if I knew what MS is working on. If I knew they were paying the slightest bit of attention to our working
needs in practice, I could at least resign myself to waiting. Does anyone know what the next gen office suite is likely to have built in as improvements?
The Office calendar dose not sow up as an option as a calender to select when syncing the phone. it worked fine for over a year.
Since upgrading Office for Mac 2011 to 14.2.2 when I open Outlook it opens several calendar windows as well as an inbox window.
Why??
Matt
Does anyone have an anticipated release date for Office for Mac 2011 Version 14.2.3? I must get the issue with the outlook date dropping and other nuances fixed. thank you.
