I am using MS Outlook on my Macbook Pro and I receive the following message every time I initiate an outgoing email: The server for account "Live" returned the error "5.0.0 Authentication Failed." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect.
Would you like to try re-entering your password?" I can forward or reply to any email I receive, I just can't initiate one. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
I tried to send an E-mail with attachment that was too large but now I can find it in my out going mail but Live Mail keeps trying to send it. How ever it is not in out going mail. How can I delete it?
When I click the Attachment paper clip in Windows Live Mail, it opens the Windows Open dialog window which limits selection to existing files. But I need to attach previous emails which I can't find in the Open window. I know I can copy the contents of
the email, like in forwarding, but I need to attach several emails and each has its own attachments. It's also not appropriate to forward each email separately because they need something to tie them together.
I'm having problems receiving incoming emails as of yesterday through my custom domain email (originally through the Small Business Live setup) . Outgoing email is fine. I log on through hotmail.com and it takes my custom email and I can see all my emails
and email box but the incoming ones stop as of yesterday at 4:13pm PST. This is my business email so its pretty important to get it up and running. I've had a few people tell me that there email bounced back. I tested it and the bounced back message reads:

I have tried all the Options/Filtering/Safe Senders/Etc. fixes offered on the forum. Doesn't make sense because I will receive an occasional junk email in my junk email folder. Please Help!

Dear Microsoft.
If I send an email using Outlook 2011 for Mac, it puts two "From:" fields in the headers of this mail.
If for instance I send a mail to myself, the source contains
"From: Mark Timmer <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>"
and a bit further on
"From: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***".
If I use webmail, this is not the case. Now, several mail servers reject my emails, giving a "permanent fatal error" with the error message
"reason: 550 Messages should have one or no From headers, not 2.".
Could this please be resolved? I doesn't seem like I can change anything to fix this, can I?
Kind regards,
Mark Timmer
I can receive, but not send. It has worked in the past, but I can't pinpoint any incident that may have caused a problem. I contacted my ISP (Cox Communications) and we checked my settings. Everything is correctly set up with regard to my SMTP address, etc. They told me it was a Windows Live problem. When I attempt to send, the message sits in my outbox for several minutes and then I receive the following error message:
A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.
