Unable to use my Outlook.com email account

I recently changed my laptop to one using Windows 8. I began to use my Outlook.com account for some email while still using Outlook 2007 as my primary email client. 

Shortly after starting to use Outlook.com on Win 8, I was presented with a request to enable two factor identification. I suspect I made a mess of this process as I am now not able to get into my Outlook.com email using my email address and the original password I set when I transferred from Hotmail. 

As far as I know, I have not defined any other passwords. Can someone please advise me how I can get back into my account? Many thanks, John

outlook 2007 is out of mainstream support

what can i do to continue using hotmail or now outlook 2007 for my e-mails ?  apparantly my outlook 2007 is 'out of mainstream support' it is very slow and freezing. it is barely useable. any help is appreciated.

Hello everyone,

 To those who successfully used their outlook e mail account to outlook 2007 with windows 7 Ultimate or with windows XP Pro. please help me to solve this problem. I posted a question here in this forum before but still I don't get an answer to this. I think almost 100% of error for this application is already exist we can't use the outlook 2007 without getting any error. The newer error we encounter are:
  • When Starting Microsoft Outlook, we get this message---> Cannot open the default email folders. The file .ost is not an offline folder file.
  • Error in Send/Receive
  • We have outlook 2007 in almost 15 PC all of this are getting this error--> Sync Issues and in local failures 
  • Error in synchronizing your folder hierarchy
  • Some Accounts are receiving a duplicate e-mail
Please help me with this, We are suffering for almost a a month with this different errors. we check all the suggestions posted in the internet but still nothing has changed. Any help would be much appreciated. 

We really want to finish this problem so that we can moved to other important things. Thank you very much.

Is there some way to do this using, Hot Main Connector, Windows Live Mail, an Hotmail account, other software, etc or some combination thereof?

I use MSN Premium as my main e-mail account. I also use Microsoft Outlook 2007 sometimes.

 

Using Outlook 2007, hotmail e-mails appear instantly.

 

Using MSN Premium, I have not seen a Hotmail e-mail now for 2 weeks! I do not understand what is happening to cause this. I have not changed anything although Hotmail has been undergoing changes at the Microsoft end.

I cannot transfer emails from Outlook.com to Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Today I installed Outlook 2007-it's part of the Office Suite installed on my computer.  After successfully completing this, I decided I preferred Outlook.com over Outlook 2007.  I had created a restore point prior to the installation, so I restored my computer.  This successfully removed the Outlook 2007 installation, however, Outlook.com still indicates my email is going to another pop3 server.  How do I fix this?  Please help. 

Can’t sync calendar with Outlook Connector

I can't sync my Outlook Calender to my Windows phone using Outlook Connector.  Using Outlook 2007 and Nokia phone with Windows 8.  Mail and Contacts are "connected" and Calendar show "error" under Server Status in bottom right corner of the screen.  Any suggestions?
