Hi,

I am unable to 'Empty' the Deleted Items folder in Outlook 2010 on a Mac with OS X 10.9.2. The folder is stuck with a badge number '85', and when I manually empty the folder by right clicking, I see a progress bar and the folder empties but the badge number '85' does not go away. When restarting Outlook, the Deleted Items folder once again has the 85 emails in the folder. They just never go away. I have cleaned up my email boxes and opened Outlook by holding option and rebuilding but that did not fix the issue. I have also indexed my spotlight with no luck. Indexing has helped in the past, but not in this instance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

We are testing exchange 2013 with outlook 2011 for mac and outlook 2010 for windows. We have 700 mac users.
I create a new account, give it a mailbox and lync enabled. On the windows test machines there is no problem for lync or outlook. All the users are added after a while.
For mac, the users are visible in lync after a while but for outlook 2011 this is not the case.
When i force a full OAB download like told in "http://blogs.technet.com/b/neiljohn/archive/2012/03/23/forcing-a-full-oab-download-in-outlook-2011.aspx" this is working. The users get a new "updated" file.
Naturally this is not a solution for 700 users.

I think the config of my exchange 2013 environment is ok because on windows i have no problem. Are there people who have found a solution for this ?
I searched the net, found a lot of people facing the same problem but no solution discovered yet.

Regards

I have been trying to create what was called Personal Folder (.pst) files on the windows side, so that I can transfer online emails to a folder on the local drive.
I have searched all the databases and online for 1/2 day and cannot find any solution that works.  I see the same question asked in 2011 and answered by one of the specialists, but the solution she proposes also does not work.  In short I cannot find the import/export data files equivalent on the PC side and in earlier version of the Mac software .  I have gone thru every menu and every drop down and still no luck.  Can someone please help?  I can't even seem to find Outlook 2010 in any of your menus or even on this menu under Office for Mac or Outlook.  So don't know that I am posting in the correct place.   So I am posting in multiple places.
I have tried to import the PST into Mac Office 2011 but no date imports.  I finally found one article that says you have to set up as an exchange server.  What if I don't have an exchange server?  How else can I migrate all my Outlook data to the Mac Outlook?
I am trying to transfer my PST file from a Windows 7 laptop running MS Office 2010 to Outllook 2011 running on MacBook Air.
I have copied the whole PST file from the Windows environment, copied it across and carried out a File Import on the Mac. I can only see the emails but not the Calendar & Contacts. Don't these items get tranfered? I thought they were part of PST file?

Hi!

In Outlook 2010, I could easily edit an attachment directly within the e-mail (via the menu item "Actions" --> "Edit Message"). There, I could edit the attachment and save it directly back to the email, without having to save the document on the computer first, edit it and then send it again via Mail. In Outlook 2011 for Mac there is this menu item as well ("Edit Message"), but I cannot edit the attachment (it is still classified as "Read only").

So my question is: Can I edit an attachment directly in the e-Mail and save it back to the same e-Mail in Outlook 2011 for Mac as well as in Outlook 2010?

Best regards from Germany

I would like to migrate my Archive Email from Microsoft Outlook 2011 for MAC to Microsoft Outlook 2010 for Windows. Is there any tool available so that mails are converted to PST without any loss. I have gone through some excessive, which end up with result that some of the mails are corrupted. Hence, I do not want to loose single email and want to migrate to Outlook 2010 for Windows from MAC.

My primary email address is an outlook email given from my university (email for life) before I graduated in 2010 (@aberdeen.ac.uk).  For some reason I can only see the emails to this address on my outlook 2010 programme or ipad mail app.  When I log in to my email address on outlook.com or the win 8.1 app all I see is an empty inbox.

This wouldnt be a massive issue if I could just get rid of the email address, but my main microsoft account it linked through it and all my app purchases and xboxlive.

Is there any work around for issues like this, or way to manually enter the server details for the email address to overrule the incorrect ones that the outlook website and app I'm guessing are using.

on side note, its rather irritating the the apple email app is able to access my emails but the microsoft one who are the same company providing the email address cannot...

In order to tidy up my Microsoft Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access inbox:

  1. I connected the account to my Outlook 2010.
  2. In Outlook 2010, I created a folder called 2012 Inbox.
  3. Using Outlook 2010, I moved last year's received emails from my Inbox to my 2012 Inbox.

The resulting problem:

  • In my Outlook 2010, my 2012 Inbox is empty and I cannot find the emails from 2012 in my regular Inbox either.
  • In my Microsoft Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access, my 2012 Inbox is also empty and I cannot find the emails from 2012 in my regular Inbox either.
  • I don't think that the emails have been purged because my Microsoft Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access account still shows a message - "1.96 GB of mailbox space used."

Where are my 2012 emails?
