Hey,

I have an Outlook Email account and I frequently use my Skydrive to write documents etc. for bussiness and personal things. About a week ago I have started a document on my Skydrive and could edit it. Recently, when I click on the document and then Edit in Word Web App it says that I cannot edit this document. Why is this?

It isn't happening to any other of my documents, only this one.

Thanks!

Hi,

Since I upgraded to IE 10 I haven't been able to attach files when sending an Outlook email.

I've looked through the forums & as advised I've changed back to using IE 9 & can now attach files.

Does anyone know if this problem has been fixed, as I'd like to upgrade to IE 10 again.

Thank you.

Chrissie

Hello,

Well, I currently have Outlook Email right now and I would like to add another one. I have followed the instructions to Set up a new Mail Server (MyFreeola)  however every time I add my account information and the POP3 email information it says - There's a problem connecting to the POP3 mail server.

I don't know what's wrong. I have the POP3 and SMTP information of my Mail Server on Freeola but it's not working.

This is the information I have used provided from Freeola.

  1. Load Microsoft Outlook.

  2. From the menu bar at the top of the screen select 'Tools', then 'E-mail Accounts'. In the window that opens, select the 'Add a New E-mail Account' option. Click 'Next'.

  3. For the server type, select POP3. Then click 'Next'.

  4. Enter the name you want to appear on outgoing e-mails from you in the Your Name field. Example: John Smith.

  5. In the 'E-mail Address' field, type in: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

  6. In the 'Username' field, type in: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

  7. In the 'Password' field, type in: ********

  8. In the 'Incoming Mail Server (POP3)' field, type in: mail.freeola.net.

  9. In the 'Outgoing Mail Server' field, type in: smtp.freeola.net.

  10. Click 'Next', then Finish and you're all set to send e-mail!

I am unable to create an outlook email.

My Outlook email has suddenly changed and now the word Outlook doesn't show up in the upper left corner, so I can't get to People, Plus the options at top have changed with no Move, etc.?  What is going on? How can I get my Outlook to look like it does on Outlook.com?  Instead of Outlook in the corner, it has Search????  I do not have any Options on the right by

my User Name.

I am using an Acer Netbook, with Windows 7 Starter OS, Internet Explorer 10 is browser.

I have had a hotmail address since God was a boy (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***), all my family and friends know it and use it when we exchange email.  I would like to keep my original hotmail address just for family and friends so I opted for an Alias Outlook address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) on the hotmail account with its own inbox.

The above works great and I receive Alias Outlook email straight into the specified inbox.

Problem: Say I receive an Alias Outlook addressed email (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) into my Alias Outlook inbox and I want to reply to it without giving my name and original hotmail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) in the From: address section of the email I'm sending as a reply - how on earth do I do that?

The Alias thing is a great idea but if I can't reply to Alias addressed email using the Alias address - I don't really see the point of it - I might just as well go and open another fresh email account using an Alias name.

If the above is just me being DOH and Alias email can be replied to showing the Alias address and not my personal hotmail address I'd be really grateful to know how.

Thank you all.

Is there a way to re-gain access to an outlook email address you have had for 10+ years when all the security features on the account have been altered by someone else? I have tried the reset password link several times and have gotten the message that Microsoft was not able to verify my identity so I don't know what to do next but need my account restored as it is linked to my work email.
