Hi

I just ordered a new computer with Windows 8, and while i am waiting am trying to change this computer's windows xp outlook express to Windows Live Mail.

There are 3 email accounts in Outlook Express and the main account transferred ok, but i am having trouble with the 2nd one. It is not my email account, but was transferred as a sub account into mine. How do i get it out? It won't check for email, says password is incorrect. Haven't tried the 3rd one yet. Thanks

I am using Windows 7 Pro.  When I try to open emails I get black x''s in black boxes and not much else.  No pictures will show up and sometimes pictures are the main story.  I have search the internet and can't find a way to fix this.  It is quite annoying.  I would hate to think that I would have to buy a email service (Outlook Express) to take care of this.  I hope that Windows 8 doesn't have the problems that I have had with 7.  Help?

When my wife was using Windows 7 Windows Explorer and Outlook Express, she could choose several photo files and an email option button appears.  She could then choose what size to make all of the photo files and they would be resized and attached to the email.  With Live Mail 2012 the files do not attach, only a list of file names appears in the text of the email.  Why does it only work half way?
I want to transfer all my e-mail message folders from Outlook Express 6 on my old Pentium 1 computer running Windows 98 to Windows Live Mail on my new computer running Windows 8.1.  Can someone please explain to in plain simple language how to go about doing that?  Thanks.

I have Windows Live Mail.  My sister has Outlook.  We email every day, sometimes several times per day.  Occasionally, an email sent from one of us never arrived at the other's inbox.  Not in trash, not in junk, not in spam, not blocked, as we email daily.  99% of them get through but occasionally they don't and when we try to forward from the sent column, those don't arrive either.  We thought it was because of fonts that the sender sent in and receiver didn't have but it is not that; we have retried and the font just gets changed to default font.  We both used to have Outlook Express and it used to happen back then, also, so I don't think it matters which kind of mail program you are using.  Does anyone know why some emails just never arrive and what happens to them and why?

This is not a huge problem because after we realize it has happened, we just copy from the original sent email into a new email.  Sometimes it comes through right away and sometimes it has to be sent several times.  We are just really curious as to why this happens; would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the subject.  Thank you.

Also does anyone know how to get an email or even snail mail to Microsoft?  I haven't been able to find any way to contact them.  I want to tell them how much a lot of us miss stationery that Outlook Express used to have.  I don't understand why WLM doesn't have any, as it was supposed to be an improvement on Outlook Express, but in that respect, it fails.  The only program I can find with stationery is Incredimail and my provider doesn't recommend it and won't support it.  They think it will cause security problems. Also, if you get Incredimail, all your email comes in there, you can't maintain other email accounts like WLM or Outlook or Gmail.  I need two because sometimes one account has problems with it.  Thanks again if anyone can help.

I mostly use my laptop with cox communications mail server for my mail account.  My wife uses a pc with Windows Live Mail (she also has a laptop with no email set up yet) which is the center of our home network system.  I want to use a mail, calendar and contact program that can sync my calendar, mail and contacts between the network pc, my laptop, my wife's laptop, my iPhone4s and my wife's iPhone4s.  Is this possible and what program fits our needs the most?  Windows Live, Outlook Express, or MS Outlook?

For medical reasons, I have short-term memory problems.  Having calendars and contacts sync between the computers I use and those my wife uses would be extremely helpful to our family.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Jay

Hello,  When I am typing an email some times I accidentally hit the wrong key, or more than one key at a time, and then my email completely disappears.  With my old version of Outlook Express, there was a way of getting my email message back again.  It was called Undo.  It was an icon of a circular arrow going counter clock wise with an arrow on it.  When I clicked on it, my lost email would reappear.  With Windows Live Mail 2102 I don't see Undo.  Please tell me how to get my email text to reappear when I accidentally lose it.  Thanks. Brian

I have a group of 79 emails that was created in Outlook Express some time ago.  The list was successfully transferred to Windows Live Mail and I have added ma,es to  it.  However, whenever I create an email specifying that it go to that list, the program only sends it to a few of the people on the list -- the rest are dropped.  I've tried breaking the group into several smaller groups and specifying that the message be sent to all the people in all of the groups, but the program takes a few names from each group but not all.  How do I fix this?

Thanks -- CC

When I am typing an email I sometimes hit the wrong key, or two keys at once and then the email I am typing disappears.  With Outlook Express I could click the UNDO icon and then my email message would return.  With Windows Live Mail 2012, I can't locate the UNDO icon.  Does anyone know how I can get my lost email back when I accidently lose it?  Brian

It seems that my categories are limited to 10 contacts per. Not very helpful! Is there a setting to increase the number of contacts allowed per category?

Have seen a lot of negative comments regarding this feature while looking for an answer to my question. Is Windows Live Mail a mistake? Outlook Express seemed to work very well. FYI Microsoft, new for the sake of different is not better.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
