I'm struggling to send photos by Windows Live Mail.

If I try to send them through the e-mail icon in Picasa 3 simply nothing happens.

If I try to send them via my photos library they will only go as a large attachment. When I used to send them in this way through Outlook Express they were automatically reduced in size.

I have tried the Live Mail account 3 times with three different passwords and each time when I try and log on it doesn't recognise me.

I want to be able to send photographs from Picasa that I've edited and as a small file size. We have Windows 7 home version and I wondered if I could replace Live mail and go back to Outlook Express to solve the problem.

Please can someone help.

I have upgraded from win Xp, to Win 8.1.  I saved my address book as wab, not knowing any better.  It seems that I need to convert to csv, but can't without Outlook express.  How can I do it?

Hi Ho Experts

I have started using Live Mail 2012 - just like the old times of Outlook Express, only on steroids!

One thing that is bothering me is incorrect default international encoding that is being used.

Moreover it appears greyed out so I cannot change it:

Any chance to change it to, say, Windows-1251 ?

I am trying to move my email from an old desktop, running Windows XP, to a laptop, running Windows 7.  I  exported the email from Outlook Express and confirmed that a .dbx file was created for each folder in Outlook Express.   I loaded Window Live Mail onto the laptop but when I try to import the email into Windows Live Mail, many of the folders do not get imported and so much of my email is missing.
Hi all,

As many of you know, Outlook Express was used to download messages from newsgroups, but that ended a few years back. Now, I see that Live Mail is offering the same option. Is Microsoft Community Forums considered a news group? Can I access this forum via Live Mail now?

suddenly can't attach files to email
I just set up Outlook Express... so i  could pull my emails in one location...

Well... when I did it.... it pull my gmail and account and it pulled all of them.... so I deleted most of them... thinking I was only deleting them from the Outlook Express location.  When I went back to Gmail... They were GONE !!!!

Is there a place in Outlook Express to retrieve those.... I can not find it...

Hoping for some help...

Thank you

I've just got a new PC running Windows 8.1, I have it set up to access my emails using the pre-installed Windows Mail.

My old PC was running Windows XP & I used Outlook Express for my emails.

I have a lot of emails on my old PC that I'd still like to be able to access (they are only on my old PC i.e. not available on any on-line platform).

Is there any way I can import my old emails from Outlook Express on XP to Mail on Windows 8.1?

I have lost 23months of incoming emails and this is the second time in past 6 months. They are gone and not in the recycle bin too. But the emails in the outbox are still there. Where did they go? How can I recover these emails? I need these emails and they are important to me. I check my inbox and it is around 1,900,000KB. Any hope to retrieve these?
