Hello,

I am having trouble setting up me outlook email account.

I have installed the software. Clicked on tools then accounts and finally email. But everything has frozen and i cannot quit and try again!

I upgraded to Mavericks several months ago and just now Outlook is downloading all of my old messages over and over again. (I just installed the latest update to Office so that's not the issue.)

I read the MS post that this isn't an Outlook issue (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/outlook-my-outlook-keeps-on-receiving-old-messages/0555b601-5be3-4ec2-8d33-14cfc9fac1c8), but it REALLY IS since this NEVER EVER happened in the prior 10 years or so I've been using Outlook but is now an on-going issue.

I also have a PC and with OFFICE and lo and behold IT REFUSES TO DOWNLOAD ANY OF MY E-MAILS!!!!

I don't know what happened but is sounds idiotic that this has NEVER HAPPENED previously, but now all of a sudden is a constant pain in the A!

Office 2011 for Mac 14.3.9.  POP server (Go Daddy hosts).  OSX 10.9

For some reason, in the past week, it keeps re-loading the thousands of emails that I have already read.  I checked with my email service and went through some tests; they said it was an Outlook issue.  I rebuilt the database to no avail.  In Prefs>Reading, I have always had checked "Mark Mail as Read"--Never and had not had a problem until now.  Otherwise, the accounts that I have set up seem to work just fine.

I searched here and could not find an answer.

Please help!

Thanks.
the saga continues with my Outlook issue following an update to Mavericks.  I've followed all the advice I can find on this forum.  Until someone releases an update to resolve this issue, I'm now wondering if there's a pref file I might want to delete that could be the source of my trouble

Trouble as:
  • emails re-downloading (unresolved by rebuilding identity, reinstalling office, creating new identity
  • Outlook hanging when I click on "advanced" in the accounts page
  • unable to send emails, despite having created brand new account with all the identical settings

with gratitude in advance,

Patrick
Since updating to OS X Mavericks, outlook is acting strange. Emails are being sent and received without issue, but the outlook windows (main, composing, reading, etc.) all resize and move left on the screen so that the entire left-side of the viewing window cannot be seen. If I click and drag the window to the right it immediately resets to the left. The only way to fix this is to quit outlook and reopen, but the fix is temporary as it reverts to its bad behavior within an hour or so (I haven't been able to recreate any specific actions). Oh, and the X - + from the upper-left of the window disappears.
From the recent issue that occurred yesterday that caused my outlook to go down has cased me an issue with my pc version of outlook which is the 2013 version where it will not sync my email for some reason. Can you see what is going on and if there is some sort of outstanding issue that is still going on. Also on the servus status page as them to recreate that page and have it included option for the pc version of outlook.
i cannot access to my hotmail acount because of an outlook issue since Ive been requested for mi celphone number as way of security
I need help with this, I have cleared my browsing history and cache, and have attempted to login in via three different browsers (safari, chrome and firefox) and my cellphone (iphone 5) yet I have still not been able to access my account. This email account is very important to me, I have had it for nearly six years, I need to be able to access it. I have been unable to access it through live mail or outlook itself.
Dear Microsoft,

There was a outlook issue with me.I'm using office 2011 for Mac.
When I want to sent a mail with large attachment (>5M), the mail will push into my draft folder automatically.I'm using exchange account, but I'm sure that was no issue with exchange server.Because I can sent the mail with large attachment by outlook 2010 in win 7.
So, I need your help.
Thanks a lot.
Looking forward your reply.
