Live vs. Outlook for e-mail

Months ago I received a letter from Microsoft telling me to switch from Live to  Outlook for my e-mail as it was dropping the Live source in the near future.  So I set up an Outlook.com account.  So now I get each e-mail twice, both sources showing on my Microsoft mail page.  How can I stop Live e-mail  also sending me Outlook messages, and vice versa?   I have given everyone my Outlook address and so I would like to drop Live.  Or should I just leave everything alone?

Why are the links, graphics and pictures not included or even available to download in to my email messages; and where and how do I change the settings to allow?  I have used Outlook for many years and only now with this new computer and Office program am I having this difficulty.

NO TEXT IN OUTLOOK MESSAGES

Using Outlook from Mac Office 2011.  Our mail comes in through Yahoo and then into Outlook.  Messages come into Outlook but there is no text in the body of the message.  Date and Time of message, who from, subject of message are all there - but no text in the message and no attachments.  Messages appear fine at Yahoo and also come through on Blavckberry phone.  Sent messages are fine and people get them OK.

Anyone got any ideas as to why Outlook is not displaying text in the incoming messages?  Its becoming a pain and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Delay in receiving Outlook messages

I will get an Exchange email on my iPhone a couple of minutes before it appears in Outlook on my Mac.  Why would it take longer to receive in Outlook 2011.  I never had that problem when I used Outlook 2010 for Windows.  The messages are received simultaneously.
