Throubleshoot connecting to the server (error code -3260) – MAC

Hello everyone! I'm experiencing some outlook problems and I need some help.

I've started last week to use outlook for my yahoomail account:

Incoming server: imap.mail.yahoo.com port 993

Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com port 465 

But I cannot receive any email and I cannot send any emails. It says: Outlook cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network. 

I am connected to the network so I don't understand where the issue could be!! 

Please somebody help me. I've googled but I didn't find something that could help me solving this issue.

iMac and Outlook Problems

For some unknown reason my Outlook has started downloading all my emails again.  I can't stop it, it's taking ages, they go back for at least 4 years, over 18,000-odd emails.  I had marked all emails in my inbox before this started as read.  Now I am being populated with old messages, I don't need or want, which are obviously all coming in as Not Read.  Restart hasn't solved it, I can't find anything online to help.  Anyone got any ideas.  At the moment, to read my new mail I have to log into Microsoft Outlook.com online! .... I really need it sorted soon as I am self-employed and need to see mail as it comes in!

I recently did an update that I was sent from MSN to update to internet Explorer 11.  Since I have done this I can no longer open emails or select them individually to delete them.  However I can still access them through my smart phone.  Please help.

I am having a problem with sending group emails.  They go to my send box, but never get to  the people in the group.  I have several groups I email once a week and we upgraded computer and to 365 home and office.  I have been on the phone with my internet provider and they say it is my outlook's fault not theirs, although the first time this happened they said same thing and when I got off with them to contact you I tried to send them out and they went.  I have each group coming to me as well.  I am so frustrated and hope you can help me.

 have found that with Outlook having taken over. I am no longer able to reply to certain sites. When it was only Hotmail, it would automatically kick in and there were no issues. We can't even download the Outlook site. Outlook won't even recognize my husband's e-mail address. I miss Hotmail!

For some reason when I tried to access my emails this morning it gave me a message saying that I wasn't connected to the internet (I did double check and I was connected at the time). After that it started loading funny meaning that I couldn't access my emails because the UI interface seems to be having some problems with it's coding and is covering all the emails I need to get to. My email currently looks like this:
Anything I click just refreshes the page and doesn't allow me access to anything. I've tried all the browsers I have too, and tried to access it on my phone. I've even tried clearing my cache. It makes no difference. 

I tried to report it as a problem to Microsoft but that page and MSN.co.uk are also suffering from the same problems. I tried chatting to a MS assistant via web chat, but they've just sent me here. 

Is anyone else having this problem?

Outlook problems.  I cannot get to my live.com account because somehow outlook won't let me in.  Years ago had outlook problems and a MSN tech did something to by-pass the problem, but yesterday's security updates seemed to have recreated the problem.

I cannot access my hotmail and live accounts. Why? It keeps saying there's an error. And I keep sending reports and nothing is getting fixed. Sometimes my email will work and I can access it. But other times, it says that there's an issue and just to report your problem to Microsoft. I have and it's still acting wonky.

Since Hotmail became Outlook I have had problems. I sign into an account and it lists all in my inbox. When I try to open one it highlights in blue but will not open. Also the entire thing is frozen, for example I cannot change from inbox to sent etc. Very often when attempting to open it shows "error on page." Can anyone help please. I never had any problems when it was Hotmail. Thanks Graham
