I switched to Mavericks and now Outlook 2011 will not print emails. Literally nothing happens when you choose print in the message or the File menu. Nothing comes up on the screen and there is nothing in the printer tools waiting to be printed.

Outlook 2011 calendar items will print but not from email.

Every other Office 2011 application prints.

I've been through the entire set of MSFT support steps available, e.g. removing the com files, creating a new identity, repairing the database etc.

I've been through Level 5 support from Brother

I tried an Epson Printer - same result.

Has anyone experience this and did you solve it? If so I'd be grateful if you would let me know.

Thanks!

John

Hello,

I'm looking for an option to allow me to sync my Outlook calendar with my iPhone & iPad and vice-versa.

Was told that Exchange ActiveSync would allow this.  My question is, how does this work?

Looks to me as if I create another email account but how does this account get me the calendar events from Outlook to the iPhone / iPad?  Do I just add the account to Outlook and when I create a cal event, it is based on this new account?  So, when I set it up on the iPhone / iPad, I just have it sync the Cal too?

If so, how does one create a cal event in Outlook for a particular account?

Or am I missing some of the basics?

Thanks in advance.

BP

I had to get my iPhone replaced twice in the last 5 days.  The second time I received an email from Outlook stating I have to delete a phone partnership by going into the Outlook Web App.  I’ve never had an account nor do I know where to look in order to log in and do this.  I currently cannot sync the email associated with my Outlook on my Mac with my phone and am unable to get emails.  How can I solve this?  Thank you.

Good evening,

I have a Macbook Air from 2011 and have moved from Outlook to Mail as I had to continue duplicating the mail identity and Outlook was not working properly. However my 'Message Sources' folder continues growing to a point that I hardly have 1 GB of space left. Would anybody be able to advise if I can delete the 'Message Sources' folder without affecting my emails (or Word, Excel or any Microsoft programme that I continue using) given that I will not be using Outlook any longer in this computer and I will be using Mail?

Many thanks

Ignacio

I am running the latest version of Mac OS (10.9.2) and Office 2011 for Mac with the latest Outlook-version (14.3.9).  Approximately every third time that I start Outlook I receive a message that I need to do an identity upgrade (in Swedish "Konfigurerar Identitet..."). This takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes before i can use Outlook again.

Any idea on how I can fix this permanently? Thanks and best regards

Hi guys,

I've been sent here from the Technet guys where you can find my original question: Exchange 2013 Kerberos with Outlook for MAC 2011

For everyones convenience I list the details of the case again:

I'm in the process of deploying a domain from scratch for my company because we have to get rid of the single label domain we are using right now.

Here are some Facts:

  • We have 3 offices in 2 countrys, connected through IPsec VPN
  • One internal domain: abc.lan
  • One external (email) domain: abc.com
  • Every office has one DC and one Exchange 2013 SP1 Server at the moment.
  • ALL internal AND external Exchange URLs of all 3 Exchange Servers use mail.abc.com in order to keep SAN requirements low additionally this is basically DNS round robin
  • I have deployed Kerberos according to this article Exchange 2013 - Configure the Client and Kerberos (load balancer or DNS round-robin) access (it's a french article so you need to translate it in your language via google or something)
  • The MAC Clients can domain join without any problems and access SMB shares with "single sign on"

The Problem:
With Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 Clients everything is working perfectly. But on Outlook for MAC 2011 I have the issue that when I configure the mailaccount with Kerberos authentication, I get the Message: "This Exchange server does not use Kerberos authentication. Click OK to turn off Kerberos authentication".

I checked "klist" in terminal and the required kerberos ticket is present: http/*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Strange behaviour here is, that Outlook says it is "Connected to Exchange". But neither the sync/send mail is working nor the public folders are.
Another strange thing is that if you wait 5-10 minutes, everything is working flawlessly.

Does anyone have an advice?
According to the proposed Answer of this Outlook 2011 for Mac - cannot use Kerberos thread the problem is that kerberos does not work with EWS external URL. Which is fine because I only need to use it internally but since both external and internal URLs are the same, this could maybe confuse the not that sophisticated Outlook for MAC client. Can anyone confirm that?
I know that kerberos is not working from outside the network. This test is only focusing on clients that are within the LAN.

When you troubleshoot connection issues in Outlook on Windows you can CTRL+Click on the taskbar icon of outlook and go to "Connection Status" or "Test E-Mail AutoConfiguration" which saved my rear end quite often by now. Is there something similar on MAC?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. :)

Best greetings,
Vasko

I have been unable to resolve this persistent error message in my Outlook email client. My email account is hosted by webhostingbuzz. I have no problems to send emai via Outlook 2011 but I can't receive emails.

I've just talking with a webhostingbuzz technician our server is ok, i've also talking with our provider of smtp and server is ok.

I've tried the tips from Office Mac Help (http://www.office.mvps.org/troubleshoot/send_receive.html) but Nothing.

I've no ideas. someone could help please?

Many Thanks!!!!

I am trying not to freak out....I followed instructions to export, then import the olm file (to add a godaddy email account to the Yahoo account that was functioning just fine on outlook).

The import said it was complete but the emails (Yahoo and Godaddy) are nowhere to be found in outlook or online. help please!!!

I have Office for Mac 2011. I have been using Office for at least 20 years.

I am semi retired but occasionally assist my son in law with his work.

This result in a a large amount of correspondence which is relevant for a while. My Microsoft Identity gets quite large.

I combined a number of files into a file to archive. I selected the file and then selected export with the option to delete old files.

I came back a few hours later to find that all of my Outlook files had been deleted and the .olm contains 2.5gb of data.

Is it possible to reinstate the information to Outlook?

I ran the Microsoft Database utility yesterday. There has not been much work carried out since the utility run.

Am I able to select to last file and start with it?

This issue arose with Apple's Maverick's OS.

After two, three, or four days without rebooting the computer, Outlook begins to report the following error message every time it attempts to get mail from the server:

Outlook cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct.

So, Outlook functions normally for several days and then something changes somewhere. Nothing has changed in Outlook's account settings. All other Internet accessing applications function normally.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Cheers,

Leigh
