By default, the firts column in calendar pane in WLM starts with Monday, which is obviously the way to go for all Christian countries.

In Israel the work week starts on Sunday. Is there a way to shift the columns, so that Sunday is first column?

thanks,

I pulled the view pane from right to left to better see imbedded information -- when this was no help, I pulled it back.  The inbox content, which was previously displayed was now blank.  No other folders contents would display either.  The counter at the lower left continues to show correct content.

My name is Bill and my email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I have windows 7
Using WLM 2012 and Windows 7 fully updated (new computer).

Whenever I receive an e-mail, such as all the newsletters I subscribe to, all that is shown in the Reading Pane is text and links instead of a formatted document that looks like a web page.  However, if I bring up a  Reply To or Forward window of that e-mail, all the formatting is correct.

Also there is an attachment ATTxxxx.html attachment.  If I click that the correctly formatted mail comes up in my Firefox browser.

This seems to be an extremely onerous way of having to read e-mail, as I'm used to Outlook Express and Vista's Windows Mail, where everything came up automatically in the Reading Pane.

There's also a line in the Options box along the lines of "Show images and external content sent from addresses in Safe Senders List" that I have checked I put a couple of these addresses in that Safe Senders List and then they seem to come through with a row of pictures at the top to open separately, but that distroyes the whole flow of the e-mail and it's just as unusable.

I also have hundreds of saved e-mails that I've imported that are now in this state and I need to get them back as they were before in WM.

Do you have any suggestions?  I've spent hours going through different options without success.

The e-mail account is a POP3 account from my ISP, Time Warner (Roadrunner)

Thanks much.

when i clink on the envelope on mt messenger pane it jumps to inbox windows live mail .

this happened as soon as u changed to this new email format . i have to open internet explorer on my desktop and click on windows live link to get to this email page .

i would really like it to be linked or pined or whatever it is

I know this is kind of "old school" but I like the security of it and haven't found it in the options for Mail. I might just have missed it. I don't want a preview pane and I don't want whatever message I am on to come up in the same area as the list of emails. I want it to come up in it's own window (yes, a pop-up, for those who have been there, think AOL Mail). I do use an email client usually and have this feature enabled by default, but I can't do this from the main area of Hotmail, that I've found.

Do I need to submit this as a suggestion? Is it already available and I just haven't found it? And will it be an available feature in Outlook.com? I'm still in the market for a good email to stick with and this is a feature that I'm really stuck on.

Thanks!

How can I turn off the window advertising pane entirely, so that I have more space in my inbox?
Using MS Office for Mac 2011 via a volume license purchased by my employer.  Recently retired and no longer on the employer's Exchange server now.  After a hard drive crash, I replaced my traditional HD with a solid state drive and reloaded MS Office for Mac 2011 from the original install CD.  Everything works well except for Outlook; the initial navigation pane will notl open whenI start up Outlook, no matter what I do. The toolbar prompt for a new main viewing window doesn't produce anything either--no response from my machine.  Have downloaded and installed version MS Office 2011 Mac 14.2.4 and am using Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a 2007 iMac with 1gb memory total and a 200mhz Intel CPU.  Fortunately, I had saved all of my Outlook data when I suspected the original hard drive problem.  Used the export function and saved the data from the original hard drive to a flash drive.  Have imported them to the new SS drive, but no response from the my computer to view my calendar and contacts data.  Calendar reminders still work and pop up correctly on my screen.  I can enter a new appointment on a separate screen, but I'd like to be able to see my monthly calendar all on one screen.  What am I missing?  Help please.

thankyou for your answer to my 1st question "can't find how to activate the preview pane"

I did as you said, but upon opening "view menu"  Layout is greyed out and wont open. Is this because i haven't made Windows Live Mail my default email program?
