Why does "sweep" not permanently delete junk mail BUT sends to & fills up "Deleted" mailbox??? I would prefer them OFF my computer.

Also getting emails in my junk box appearing to come from my contacts & addressing me by name BUT really from foreign/unknown email addresses.

I changed my password & somewhat better but starting up again. Is this "hacking"  do I need to change my email address?

Hello, Everyone--

Though Windows Live Mail has my photo and correct name, recently
whenever I attempted to logon with the password I was using for years,
I constantly was sent an "Incorrect Password" response!

So I created a new password.
BUT when my *** Email address is removed for privacy *** floats up,
and I click in my newly created password, I get the same "incorrect" feedback.

I am pasting in right here what happens when I try to send or receive mail :

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (marlem388) account.

Subject 'And Now What?'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048849

The host '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

Subject 'weird'
Server:  *** Email address is removed for privacy ***Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 11003

HOWEVER, according to my default email account with att.net,
my SMTP Server/Port Port (Outbound att.net) is 465--NOT 25!
My POP server/ Inbound att.net is 995.
There my SSL shows YES.
--And my Protocol Type is POP3.

Can some technically proficient person figure this out, please?

Thank you for your consideration,
Mara L. Cunningham
I have to re-type email address and password each and every time and it pains me.
My password accidently went onto my sign in name block. How can I remove this?

About two years ago I lost access to my Hotmail. I forgot my password and had no way of recovering my account. Apathy set in  I was at a point in my life where email didn't really matter to me. A few months later to losing my account i made a gmail account which i have been actively using. Yesterday i thought it would be cool to see some of my old emails. So i recovered my account. To my surprise thier were none of my old emails in my inbox. Or any of the ones i would have received after loosing access to my account.  Did Hotmail wipe them their servers forever or is there anyway to recover them?

Thanks, M.
