I am a long-term user of Hotmail for my personal emails. For some time now I have had my mail forwarded to another address.
I am now aware that I have not been receiving my usual @hotmail.com address emails for the last 6 days. Having logged into the Hotmail website, it appears that Hotmail has now become Outlook.com. All my old emails are gone, and my emails from the last 6 days are nowhere to be seen. The settings show that my mail was no longer set to be forwarded to my other email address.
Basically, it seems I've been changed over to Outlook.com without warning (!!), that my settings have been returned to default, and I've lost all my old email and the emails that were being sent to my @hotmail.com address over the past week.
I require assistance in:
2) Obtaining my emails I was sent over this past week but have not received
Original title: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***?
Hello all,
I have on two occasions recieved emails from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. It tells me that delivery of several emails has failed and it shows me the contents which are random links. Now I have also had friends telling me that they have received the exact same emails from me.
Now would I be right to assume that my Live account has been hacked? I would have taken a guess at maybe a virus or a Trojan but Norton 360 has never found anything of any kind.
If I have been hacked would it be likely that it was just to send spam and not to access my personal emails and to take everything from them? I'm not one who cleans out his inbox or sent items so there is A LOT of personal information and even personal pictures
and documents in there which has me very worried.
The folders containing emails have disappeared. I had about 25 different folders containing important emails. They are gone. WHY?
I still have hotmail. I do not have or want outlook.
