I am very computer-challenged and just need someone to reassure me that all this personal info (including DOB, address, passwords, etc...) that I'm being asked to forward is legitimately from OUTLOOK and not some scam artist.
I received an e-mail (in french) from Outlook (I think) saying I risk losing my e-mails - if I don't answer within 48 hours .
(I have hotmail.ca and a hotmail.com e-mail accounts).
Since it took me a very long time to find this forum and hopefully add this question in the right place - I ask that you reply to my e-mail address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) - otherwise I may never find your reply. Pls. keep it simple as I don't know all the techie lingo - and I'm not a kid.
Thanks, Kathy
I set up an account for my mum (she isn't that tech savvy) using all of her personal info, but now she cant remember her email address to log in. We know the answers to all of the security questions and I was sure I linked her account to mine so that if she forgot her password an email would be sent to my account, however I cant seem to find anything within my account.
Is there a way I can enter her personal details and answer the security questions to get access to email account

Hello,
I am trying to recover my email ....@hotmail.fr, which has been (it seems) hacked, then blocked by microsoft.
The problem is that I can't recover a reset code because the secondary email address I once entered is not working. The other option is the filling of a questionnaire. However, it doesn't work too because I was scared to put my personal info when I created the account, therefore, the questionnaire fails to bring me back an activation code.
I am then looking for another way to prove my identity and keep working with this email, who contains useful and important information I need in my daily life.
Kindest regards,
Francois
