I had to get a new password for my hotmail yesterday. a notification popped up on my phone which said "unable to sign into Hotmail" I had not been trying to do that, I was having a phone conversation. When I finished, I tried on my phone to access my
email, to no avail... So I tried my computer and the same thing....the password was wrong. I had been using this password for a long time. I made a new password and I can now get in.. But I am confused as to why this happened in the first place. Does this
mean my account my have been compromised?
Hi - I think someone broke into my Windows Live (i.e. Hotmail) account two days ago. Just after a phone conversation about certain historic family topics, the next time I logged into my account, a number of old emails (some dating back 1.5 years) relating
to the topic had been flagged in my email list. This seems suspicious, and I would like to find out a list of what IP addresses were the source of logins to my account on that day. Is there any way of obtaining this information (either myself or through
Microsoft)?
Thank you,
Jim
