doesdensdoes ocontact microsoft?soft?
A friend uses her Hotmail account daily but 2 days ago found that after entering her user name and password another screen comes up saying a password is not enough and asking for her phone number or another email address. This is blocking her access to
he emails. This is not happening on my hotmail account nor the accounts of anyone else it has been mentioned to. She is understandably reluctant to enter her phone number and doesn't have another email account. Can anyone confirm if this is genuine. Many
thanks
I have now created a new hotmail account.
I could not log into my previous account as my answer to the security question about my Australian phone number was not recognised. (it did not exist!!!)
MS Help eventually sent me a new password but I still had to answer the security question about my Australian phone number which still does not exist!!
As I am now logged on via this non-existent phone number I am confused.
I have tried entering my phone number with and without area codes and spaces, also my mobile number but alas Australia is no longer recognised.
MJH Noosa.
Well, I no longer have access to that email, have not for 5 years now. So how do I change my alternate email address?
Everything I try to add to the account for verification purposes (a phone number, another email) well they all have to be approved by an email account that no longer exists.
If this has to do with hacking, then just say so. I can move to another provider... Since hacking is why I want to change all of this information anyway.
(IE: Your measures are just affecting the good members, at least from my perspective.)
All well, let me know what's up. I can easily move over to G-mail or something more user friendly...
PS: You guys aren't hacking me to get me to upgrade to your pay-for e-mail? Like I would pay for this type of service (HA!)
