a few days ago i have requested an update of the 2-way security code.
Yesterday i locked my new Surface2 with the BitLocker because i entered the wrong password.
Now i want to request the security code on the specified internet page
but the problem is that the phone number indicated by me is wrong and i can only choose the options to get the code by call or sms.
The old security code will be deleted the first of december.
How can i change the phone number?
I can't access the security options on my account and to cancel the update of the security code i need the old code.

i m having a problem regarding my hotmail account i have added there a security email and my cell phone number. now i dont remember my email id address for which i added for security purpose to my account but i do have that cell phone number but whenever
i am trying to change they are sending an verification code to my email id and not to my cell phone kindly if this is possible that i can know my security email id i will be so grateful.

I use an iPhone and laptop to check emails through Outlook. I recently went into my People list to find a contact and noticed I was missing their email address, but it kept their phone number. I then checked other contacts and found they too had missing information. All of my text messages on my phone started only being displayed as a phone number instead of being displayed as the contacts name. When I went to find them on my contacts list in my phone, they were gone! I merged my Hotmail/outlook contacts with my iphone a long time before this happened. How can I retrieve my contacts data without having to manually enter it in?! I don't even have enough contact info to even get in contact with some of the people on my lists because its all deleted!
Any advise, ideas....

It is rarely used since I use it only for incognito purposes (no pornographic activity, I assure you that).
And I've forgotten the password.
And unfortunately I no longer use the phone number I registered for password retrieval.
But due to some circumstances, something had arisen and apparently I have to access the hotmail email and all of the sudden I have Microsoft Outlook page and I kind of got lost in the whole thing.
The page told me to sign up for a Microsoft account for that email address of which I did, and somehow it turns out I was signing up for a new account, for a different email address.
Can somebody help enlighten me on how to access my email again?
Or at least explain how to use this Outlook.com.

My Hotmail account was hacked, presumably for the use of spamming, and I cannot get back in. The phone number on the account is no longer able to receive texts or calls, and I've tried filling out the form many times. I've been hung up on countless times
by Microsoft phone support, and have been dismissed and ignored through email. I need to get access to this account back as soon as possible. Who do I need to get in contact with to remedy this situation, as I have become more than frustrated?
I recently bought a windows phone, and I set up a hotmail account for this phone shortly after, maybe 3 weeks ago. For some strange reason, Outlook temporarily blocked my account, citing unusual activity. I don;t see how this is possible, since I just
started the account and never used it. They sent me to verify my account with a phone number. Unfortunately, the geniuses who set up this phone verification do not consider Sierra Leone, where I am, to be a country, and so I cannot verify my account, which
3 weeks later is still blocked. I have sent numerous emails to the help desk, and recently I got this answer from MERC, who is an advanced specialist. This dunderhead tells me that there is a limit to how many emails I can send at the start of an account
(see below). However, I have not been able to send a SINGLE email from this account, since they blocked it almost immediately. Today, I get another message from Hotmail advising me to verify my account -- which of course I have done many times and can;t because
the experts at Hotmail do not recognize that Sierra Leone, in West Africa, is a country.

All they have to do is unblock my account, which I have asked them to do many times. But that would be too simple for the advanced support team that includes Marvelous Merc. Have never had anything similar happen to gmail accounts. Now i regret buying

I am trying to sort out the mess my friend got into with her hotmail account.
She had it hacked by some b*stard who has added his telephone number to the account. She managed to get back into to it once and turned on 2 step verification I believe, but he then managed to add HIS telephone number to the account, and since then she has been unable to get back in.
She has a gmail recovery email on the account.
You get in a loop like this :
Go to reset password
Sends email to the gmail acccount
Go back to login and it wants an alternative method, but you can't use the same email address again - WHY ????? I've just used it ! This is madness
So the only alternative is the phone number which belongs to some b*stard in India.
"Since you recently used this info to reset your password, you need to pick a different way to verify your account.
This extra security step is in place because you've turned on two-step verification. If the other options don't work for you, the info you used to reset your password will work as your second factor starting 12/1/2013."
What on earth does that last sentence mean ? "the info you used to reset your password will work as your second factor" I realise the 12/1/2013 means locked out AGAIN. ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH.
We have had this every time we have tried to reset the password.
Does ANYONE have any idea how to get round this ? It is ridiculous that a legitimate owner of an account finds themselves locked out by a 3rd party who had no right to be there in the first place.
We have tried the normal answer 40 questions recovery method, but kindly, M$ in their infinite wisdom don't let you use this if you have two step verification enabled. "Because you've turned on two-step verification for your account, we ignore these requests but wanted to let you know."
So now she has been without her account for about 4 months or so as she keeps getting kicked back out again, and is fed up to the back teeth with the recovery system and anything Microsoft.
I'd be grateful if someone could give us an idea of how we can retrieve this account.

As i have never requested a password change i am worried about the safety of my account (i use it mainly for my XBOX)
I am affraid to login into my account, because i know that is probably someone who try to mess with my microsoft account...

My Hotmail account got blocked. After filling out the form, I was identified as the owner of the account, but the password does not work anymore. A temporary code keeps getting sent to a phone number that is no longer in use. Any other option?
hi i canot access my email at all it keeps saying to varrify cause it looks like someone else is useng my account problem being the phone number i have associated with the account is no longer connected....an considering i set the account up like 15 plus
years ago im not sure of the info it is asking me for the questionnaire now the email that is set up for recovery i cant access either it says its blocked?? so i have no idea what to do an i have work stuff in my emails i need to access please help!
